A student at Washington University unilaterally removed thousands of 9/11 memorial flags and piled them into garbage bags in a protest against Islamophobia and US military interventions, according to the college newspaper.
In a video posted online, the student can be seen holding multiple plastic bags containing the small American flags that he had removed from a memorial on Mudd Field at the university in St Louis, Missouri.
The flags — a total of 2,977 — were placed on the lawn to honor the people who lost their lives in the attacks 20 years on.
The student has since been identified by the university's newspaper, Student Life, as Fadel Alkilani, the vice president of finance for the student union.

Afghanistan is not only beautiful and sunny and dry, it also has billions of dollars of our best military equipment, so he and his buddies should have a gay old time.

Were the flags his? I ask because there is an Islamic tale about a man who found a bundle at the base of a palm tree. He pushed at the bundle with his toe to see what might be in it. It was recommended that his toe be cut off. No, he did not steal anything, but he had no right to touch something that wasn’t his.
Perhaps Fadel Alkilani should receive some of that Old Time Religion punishment for taking what wasn’t his. I think it’s the left hand for the first offense.
He literally spit on all those that lost lives 20 years ago as those flags represented their memory. He should have to apologize to each family and pay to replace the flags.
He’s wearing a man bun; nuff said.

So this is a Class D Felony (assuming that it cost more than $750 to purchase the flags and set them up).
Good - so we can tear down rainbow and BLM flags and claim it’s to protest against pedophilia and Marxism!
Try removing a BLM sign, or gay flag, and let me know how it works out.
