The Minneapolis Police Department has arrested more than a dozen suspects involved in crime ring that focused on robbing cellphones from intoxicated people and then beating the victims. According to a report provided by Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder, a three-day sweep conducted two weeks ago ended with police arresting 16 people between the ages of 13 and 25. A 13-year-old boy is in custody after New Orleans police say he robbed a 75-year-old woman at gunpoint Wednesday (March 1) in the Marigny neighborhood. Officers were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. to the 800 block of Marigny Street, where the victim said she was walking to her home when approached by a juvenile demanding her wallet, police said in a preliminary report. Covington police are looking for two junior high school-aged boys who attacked a juvenile Friday (May 23) afternoon as he was walking home from the library. One of boys approached the victim from behind and punched him in the face, breaking his jaw, Chief Tim Lentz said. The suspects approached the victim when he was walking home from the library at 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 27th Avenue and North Pierce Street. The victim did not know the suspects, and Lentz said they did not communicate.

Four men charged in a quintuple shooting that left a toddler paralyzed at a Harvey apartment complex have pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other charges, according to court records. Jefferson Parish prosecutors charged Lashawn Davis, 20, of the Gretna area, Charlie Gumms, 18, and Davamte Robertson, 19, of Terrytown and Frankie Hookfin, 21, of Waggaman with five counts of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal damage in the April 22 shooting at the Lapalco Apartments. NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio -- Police say that six 13- and 14-year-old boys charged with robbing and badly beating a man told officers they were bored.The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that 45-year-old Pat Mahaney is back home after being hospitalized for four days with internal injuries and bleeding, cuts and bruises.
