EMET praises legislation by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a recognized, foreign terrorist organization. Sarah Stern, President of EMET, reminded attendees that, out of the fifteen terrorists involved in the attack, eleven were from Saudi Arabia. Annual Rays of Light in the Darkness Dinner was held in June. This event honored those few Muslim and Arab intellectuals who have risked everything to speak out about their experiences regarding radical Islam. The efforts of these courageous individuals, some of whom have fatwas placed on their heads have been, up until now, wholly underappreciated.
