On Wednesday at 10:40 p.m. law enforcement officers from several agencies were working a detail in the area of Highway 84 and White and Parker Road in Stanfield. A white SUV pulled off of the roadway near where officers from the Gila River Police Department were working. Using night vision goggles from a distance, the officers observed two individuals in the vehicle appearing to have consensual sexual intercourse. The ex-wife of a former Hutchinson teacher told jurors Monday she had no knowledge her husband was involved with one of his male students. Shelli Roberts, the former wife of fired McCandless Elementary teacher Bret Roberts, said she suspected her husband of affairs with adult men, but never with "anyone underage."
