Austin, Texas Requires Green Audit for Real Estate or Face Criminal Charges
The government is continuing to encroach on freedoms more and more in the name of climate change. Case in point: An ordinance that went into effect June 1 stating if you sell your home in Austin, Texas and you fail to get a clean energy "green" audit, you will likely face criminal charges. According to an ordinance passed by the Austin City Council passed in November 2008, any home 10 years or older will require an "Energy Conservation Audit.
