The open extremists operating in the Democratic Party's midst. It turns out the man arrested for running a Muslim terrorist training compound in rural New Mexico is the son of an influential Democrat-connected jihadist imam who was close to the Blind Sheikh who orchestrated the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 that left six people dead. Siraj Ibn Wahhaj Jr., who is 39 or 40, of Clayton County, Ga., was arrested after authorities found 11 hungry, filthy children living in squalid conditions in a remote part of New Mexico. Wahhaj, who has been charged with felony child abuse,...

Last week, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — a self-described socialist — defeated incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in a Democratic House primary in New York City. Her win, a dramatic upset in the primary elections, was an early indicator of America’s recent turn toward socialism. Recent polls show that 36 percent of Americans between the age of 18 and 29 favor socialism over capitalism. Socialism’s stigma seems to be fading as fewer Americans remember the spectacular failure of the Soviet Union — the largest socialism experiment in history — and most are seemingly unaware of the current economic disaster in socialist Venezuela....

Multiple Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) leaders are openly endorsing communism on social media, indicating that the already far-left organization has taken a sharp left turn. DSA has seen its ranks swell from 8,000 to over 42,000 dues-paying members since President Donald Trump was elected. In November of 2017, 15 DSA members were elected in school board, city council, alderman and other local races across the country, joining 20 other DSA members already in office. The party got a major boost last Tuesday when DSA-endorsed candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ousted 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in New York's 14th Congressional District.

The socialist congressional candidate whose primary-election upset of a Democratic House leader made national news this week claimed Israel committed a “massacre” of Palestinians in Gaza, despite the admission of Hamas that most of the dead were Hamas operatives. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28, wrote in a May 14 tweet that the killing of some 60 Palestinians in “March of Return” protests that day was a “massacre” and that “no state or entity is absolved of mass shootings of protesters,” reported the Jewish News Syndicate. “There is no justification. Palestinian people deserve basic human dignity, as anyone else,” she said. “Democrats can’t...

When Mayor Bill de Blasio picked Bernie Sanders to swear him in for his second term, it was a sign, much like a groundhog signaling six more weeks of winter, that the heart of the Democrat Party was changing — even if Bernie himself still refuses to acknowledge that he belongs to it. And while Sanders-endorsed candidates have floundered nationally, they got a big win last night when 28-year-old Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez breezed past establishment figurehead Joe Crowley in the primary for the relatively safe 14th District. Nancy Pelosi tried to wave away the obvious Tea Party parallels by...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic Socialists of America member who won a Democratic primary victory this week in New York's 14th Congressional District, failed to clearly explain democratic socialism on Friday. Ocasio-Cortez joined "The View" panel where Meghan McCain asked about her self-described Democratic socialist views. The candidate has been at the center of attention since her upset in Tuesday's primary against incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley (D., N.Y.), a 10-term congressman and member of the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives. Ocasio-Cortez is known for being one of the most left-leaning candidates in the 2018 midterm elections. "You consider yourself...

The primary defeat Tuesday of Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., who was both a top-ranking House Democrat and the head of one of New York’s last political machines, is an upset that is still sending shockwaves through the Democratic Party. Crowley was taken down by a 28-year-old political rookie named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who won in part by denouncing Crowley’s brand of old-school machine politics. But she had a campaign machine of her own, an outside group known as the Democratic Socialists of America. In the avalanche of coverage of Ocasio-Cortez’s win, the logistical support and manpower she received from the DSA...

The Democratic Socialists of America supports the same policies that have destroyed Venezuela’s ability to feed itself The New York Times just published this article, which is titled “The Millennial Socialists Are Coming.†The article talks about the growing popularity of socialism among Millennials, and points out several examples of socialist candidates beating long term Democrats in primary elections. The New York Times article includes this link to the constitution and bylaws of the Democratic Socialists of America. The ramifications of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s stunning primary defeat of longtime Queens Democratic boss and Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY) extend well beyond the confines of Capitol Hill. The 28-year-old member of Democratic Socialists of America—who shockingly won in New York’s 14th congressional district on a leftist platform of Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, and a federal jobs guarantee—inspired a major boost in membership for the organization on Wednesday. According to Lawrence Dreyfuss, a program associate for DSA, the organization saw a surge of 1,152 new memberships on Wednesday—about 35 times more sign-ups than on an average day. The last major membership...

A progressive Democrat in New York who called Israel’s killing of violent Palestinian protesters on the Gaza border a “massacre” scored a major upset over incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in a contentious party primary. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28, defeated Crowley, 56, by a margin of 58-42 percent in Tuesday’s election, toppling a lawmaker who was viewed as the successor to Rep. Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Ocasio-Cortez belongs to the Democratic Socialists of America and is a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Vermont Independent who ran as a Democrat in the 2016 presidential primaries. New...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told reporters on Thursday that she is confused why Americans aren’t “uprising” against the Trump administration over conditions on the border with Mexico. The California Democrat’s weekly press briefing veered into explosive territory when the subject of illegal immigration came up. Mrs. Pelosi said there may be “uprisings” over children who are separated at the U.S. southern border when asylum seekers decide not to arrive at a proper checkpoint.

One of the activists who chased Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen out of a Mexican restaurant Tuesday night over the Trump administration’s immigration policies is an employee of the Department of Justice, The Daily Caller News Foundation has confirmed. Members of the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America crashed Nielsen’s meal with a demonstration full of chants and other outbursts. One of those participants, Allison Hrabar, actually works for the Trump administration — as a paralegal in the DOJ.

The Centers for Disease Control sacrifices more of its credibility on Ebola. Bob Fredericks writes in the New York Post: Ebola is a lot easier to catch than health officials have admitted — and can be contracted by contact with a doorknob contaminated by a sneeze from an infected person an hour or more before, experts told The Post Tuesday. “If you are sniffling and sneezing, you produce microorganisms that can get on stuff in a room. If people touch them, they could be” infected, said Dr. Meryl Nass, of the Institute for Public Accuracy in Washington, DC. Nass...

display of grassroots power, the Denver chapter of Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA, successfully convinced the Denver Democratic Party to endorse a key tenet of democratic socialism in their party platform. The party’s official platform now includes the following plank: We believe the economy should be democratically owned and controlled in order to serve the needs of the many, not to make profits for the few. The construction used here is similar to “for the many not the few,” the slogan used by the U.K.’s Labour Party. That party is currently run by Jeremy Corbyn, a committed socialist, who...

Obama File 110 hereStanley Kurtz's new book "Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism", finally proves that Barack Obama attended the Democratic Socialists of America - run Socialist Scholars Conferences in 1983 and 1984. He also reveals how some of the marxists participating in those conferences would influence Obama's career in later years. In this post I look at the 10th annual Socialist Scholars Conference held at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in April 1992. One panel in particular was important: "Towards a New Party", with Elaine Bernard, Arthur Lipow, Kurt Stand and Judy Page. The...

As that Old Saying goes, "Birds of of a feather flock together" With all the revelations about President-elect Barack Obama's Socialist Party Ties, it is not surprising that he would try add like minded people into his cabinet. Former Congressman David Bonior fits the bill. Obama was a member of the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, Bonier was a Boston member. Here's a little snippet from the 9/07 issue of the Yankee Radical, the Boston DSA's Newsletter It should also be noted that Edward’s recent statements on this issue have shown real improvement, which might be due...

Indian born, New York raised, Harvard educated, Deepak Bhargava may have seldom crossed paths with Barack Obama-but he is a key player in 44th president's movement to transform America. Deepak Bhargava is connected to almost every aspect of the Obama movement-from George Soros to ACORN, to Democratic Socialists of America, to The Nation, to the communist dominated United for Peace and Justice, to a whole raft of "progressive" non profits. In the video below, Deepak Bhargava opens the Heartland Democratic Presidential Forum December 10 2007 - a forum exclusively for thousands of community organizers including ACORN personnel. A Fort Drum officer whose pro-communist and anti-Trump social media posts have spurred outrage and an Army investigation apparently raised concerns among his superiors in 2015 while studying at West Point. In documents obtained by the Daily Caller, Lt. Col. Robert M. Heffington, a professor at West Point, said he found the social media posts by 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone, then a cadet, “extremely disturbing.” He noted at the time that one of Rapone’s posts said “(Expletive) this country and its fake freedom,” and others praised communism, marxism and Karl Marx. “I cannot reconcile the image of a first class...
