Sarah Palin announced Wednesday that she will not seek the GOP presidential nomination. A day earlier, Chris Christie re-confirmed he would not throw his hat into the ring. The message to Republican voters: The current list of candidates is your team, even if you feel the same way as the Milan High student body did about their Jimmy Chitwood-less basketball team in Hoosiers.
  • Why In God’s Name Is The GOP Consenting to Let a Journolist Member Moderate a Debate? (Oct 11)

Before the MNSBC-Politico Debate, I wondered why in God’s name the Republican candidates would bother giving press and air time to a bunch of liberals asking snide questions down their noses to the GOP about issues not one person cares about. After that debate it convinced me the GOP candidates should be more discerning in their debates. And now, as Ben Domenech notes and I too can confirm, I think the candidates should boycott the Washington Post Bloomberg debate on October 11th. The debate is billed by the Washington Post as “exclusively” about the economy. I had relished them having this...

...and put on our "Big Boy/Girl Pants"! Sarah, Christie ARE NOT going to run. Quit throwing fits like 2 year olds and BUST OUR ASS to GET AS MANY Constitutional(as if there is any other kind) Conservatives elected as we can! WORK, WORK, WORK!!! If it's Rommney(or ANY other candidate(I am a Cain guy)) then get behind him. A 40(or lower)% "conservative" Rommney is MUCH BETTER than ANY DEM!!!!

First. Chris Christie. As I predicted back in 1957, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced at a press conference yesterday that he would not be a Republican candidate for President in 2012. He said 27 times that he has only been governor for 20 months and didn't think (a) he could turn his back on the people who voted for him and (b) he could leave before the job of fixing the state was done. This was widely seen as a poke in the eye of Sarah Palin who (a) resigned as Governor of Alaska as soon as she got...

As you probably know, I supported Governor Sarah Palin's running for the GOP nomination and had vowed to raise $2 million dollars for that campaign. I have posted hundreds, if not thousands of "Palin" threads since she came on the scene in 2008. Having said that, it's not just about Gov. Palin. This is a fight for control of our country and culture. On one side is the liberal fascism of Barack Obama, the left and the Democrats. On the other is the shrinking part of society we call conservatives. In the middle are the many millions who go with...
  • Mitt Romney is Obama Light

Mitt Romney is another in a long line of Progressive Republicans also known as Republicans In Name Only or RINO’s. The only thing conservative about the former Governor of Massachusetts are his suits. Romney talks a good game and is by far the most polished debater of the Republican field but just because someone can deliver a quick one-liner doesn’t mean he’s qualified to be president. We’re not going to elect Jerry Seinfeld or Chris Rock president any time soon just because they’re good at delivering witty repartee. Like President Obama, Romney has a habit of stating one thing to...
  • Rick Perry fund raising haul signals long GOP slog (Primary battle will rage for months)

Rick Perry sent a clear message to his primary opponents Wednesday: The Texas governor is buckling in for a long campaign. Forget for a moment the poor debate performances and an embarrassing defeat in last month’s Florida straw poll. With his announced $17 million fundraising haul, Perry proved he’s still a force to be reckoned with. What Perry’s fundraising shows, his backers argue, is that he’s the only conservative candidate in the race with the resources to compete against Mitt Romney over the long haul. In other words, he can spend his way out of his current predicament. And while...

"I will not create jobs or hold jobs that kill people, and that plant, that plant kills people.”-- Then-Gov. Mitt Romney, quoted in today’s Wall Street Journal, speaking outside a Massachusetts coal-fired power plant in 2003. Sarah Palin has said she is not running for president, and has rung the bell for round two of the GOP nomination fight. With Palin staying out, there are no more what ifs to be considered. The only other Republican with the national name recognition and fundraising ability to even consider a run is Rudy Giuliani. And the social moderate from the Northeast could...
