The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that one of their own, reporter Jake Wagman, was one of six people arrested in connection with the beating of a conservative activist outside of a town hall forum held by Democrat Congressman Russ Carnahan. According to Dawn Majors, a Post-Dispatch photojournalist who witnessed everything unfold, an officer said that Wagman had been "interfering."

SARASOTA - A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated assault incident against U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Sarasota). The incident happened when Harris and several supporters were campaigning on the northwest corner of the intersection at Fruitville Road and North Washington Boulevard Tuesday evening, according to Sarasota police. A vehicle headed toward them and swerved at the last moment and drove off. The police got a good description of the car and the suspect was brought in for questioning before being arrested. Barry M. ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) A former Anderson firefighter who pleaded guilty to perjury and vote fraud has been sentenced to ten days in jail. Fifty-eight-year-old Ronny Douglas voted in Anderson in 2000, 2002 and 2003, even though he lived several miles away in Pendleton. Authorities said he used the address of a rental property he owns in Anderson. Most of his 18 month sentence will be served on probation. A judge also ordered that Douglas not participate in any political activity, except for voting.
