During the debate in the governor’s race between Hochul and Rep. Lee Zeldin, Hochul dismissed the issue of crime, saying that “ "Anyone who commits a crime under our laws, especially with the change we made to bail, has consequences” and that she doesn’t know why the issue is “so important” to Zeldin.

Police saw Carmon Tussey walking briskly toward a crowded Louisville bar carrying a semi-automatic weapon. With people running away, officers moved in, service weapons drawn.
