CNN has an article up today titled “‘Black Lives Matter’ cases: When controversial killings lead to change” which looks at how individual shootings highlighted by BLM have resulted in some changes to the law. Let’s stipulate up front that there’s nothing wrong with the subject matter here. A roundup of legal changes that have resulted from these high profile cases seems worthwhile. What’s not worthwhile is the way CNN frames a couple of the best-known cases, even failing to note there is no evidence for the story behind “hands up, don’t shoot.” Here’s CNN’s description of the Michael Brown shooting:

This past Sunday’s edition of 60 Minutes featured a piece by CBS’s Scott Pelley examining the idea of fake news, but it was far from perfect with a glaring omission, a shocked host and guest that liberals fall for fake news, and downright hypocrisy from the network that promulgated Dan Rather’s fake news.

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice. Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.

WMAL's Chris Plante pointed out on the 17th that O'Donnell was also aided by yet another deceptive video edit (courtesy of the artisans at NBC News) designed to make Donald Trump appear to be a liar via a recent conversation Fox News' Bret Baier and Speaker Paul Ryan were having about the STILL unproven, Democrat accusation that the Russians influenced the 2016 presidential election. MSNBC edited a portion of that segment and inserted to make it appear that Ryan was saying there was no proof that Trump was wiretapped during the election.

The New York Times has changed the headline of a story to remove the word “wiretapped” from its reporting on data being used by the federal government to investigate aides to President Donald Trump, from just before he was inaugurated. The stunning move comes as Trump has openly charged he believes his communications were wiretapped by the federal government during that time period, and longtime federal employees as well as Democrat opponents and critics ridiculed the statement. In the midst of a Democratic protest this evening against the nomination of U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., as the next attorney general, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., began reading the contents of a 1986 letter from Coretta Scott King, widow of the slain civil rights leader, protesting his nomination as a U.S. District judge. (That nomination was unsuccessful.) But 31 years later, Warren was sanctioned by her Senate colleagues for reading the letter on the chamber floor, which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said impugned the character of her fellow senator.

What is it about ABC, MSNBC, CBS News and of course CNN that makes them think they can get away with fake news? This is the internet age, creating fake news by openly lying and editing interviews to make a fake point against Trump is not going to work any longer. The people have had it. Time to call upon Trump to call fora nationwide boycott of the fake news industry. They want to play, we can too. Time to hit back.
