White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer angrily accused the media Saturday of false reporting on the inauguration as part of what he called a shameful attempt to minimize enthusiasm for President Trump, beginning his tenure as the administrations top spokesman on a combative note.
Spicer summoned the press to the briefing room at the end of Trumps first full day in office to specifically condemn two pieces of reporting a reporters erroneous claim, since retracted, that an MLK bust was removed from the Oval Office; and photos appearing to show light crowds at Fridays inauguration.
Spicer called the former claim, made on Twitter, irresponsible and reckless.

It’s like Christmas every day!.....
First thing you do when accosted by bullies is find the ringleader and drop him so fast,so fast, that he will cry for his mommy for a month.
Way to go Sean.
Jam every syllable of fake news down their throats.
MLK bust hook was Zeke Miller from Time, and before that Buzz feed.
Yale educated yet too stupid to report accurately.
#FakeTime
Watched it, it was like he just came out, threw a bucket of sh#t on them, and walked off the stage. Very spice y.
Kicking the media’s butts is so much fun. I’m so glad we nominated Trump instead of another loser like Jeb!
They lied about the HUGE inaugural crowd of 1 million to diminish Trump. The Press will soon be taught to be fair and tell the truth or they will be taught to explain news from POTUS tweets. And get your asses overrto the West Wing where we have 200 others waiting for your lying butts.
Just wanted to make a point about the allegedly low turnout at the inauguration. I seem to recall that a lot of Obama supporters did not even have jobs, and many of them who did just called in sick, etc. in order to attend those inaugurations.
OTOH - I think a lot of Trump supporters have jobs and a higher percentage of them showed up for work than was the case with the followers of Stompy-foot.
Also, geographically speaking - you need to factor in that a lot of Trump’s supporters are not in the Northeast and DC area. So it is less convenient for many of them to make the trip.

I’ve seen videos of people stuck at the entrance queues in the tens of thousands at noon. Protestors shut down 2 of the 3 queues entering the area and a lot of people we stuck right outside waiting on security screening.
Trump shouldn’t be wasting time on how many people showed up at the inauguration. All that matters is that enough people showed up to vote him into office.
All someone has to do is look at the timestamp on the photo that was taken on Friday to see when it was taken.I assume it was taken with a digital camera.

Love that Spic(y) pick.
Yes. Every infraction must be admonished. Tiring, but we need only look at how crazy & violent the left has become to know that the behavior and speech can no longer be tolerated!
I liked the way he left the room without paying any attention to their kindergarten like screaming of questions.
Yes, it is. I have been so impressed the last 24 hours.
I loved his remarks and style, but now that Mr Spicer has such a high profile job with probably daily broadcast appearances, he really does need to see a decent tailor.
Not only everything you said but Obama’s 1.8 mil crowd was at his Jan21, 2013 inauguration. It also happened to be MLK Holiday. All of DC was on a federal holiday!
Trump’s was on a workday.

And he’s right.
