Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) isn’t taking another presidential run off the table — at least for 2024. The Republican lawmaker — who dropped his 2016 presidential bid after trying to win over voters against now-President Donald Trump in the Republican primary — is open to a future presidential run. In hopes of becoming the Republican nominee in 2016, Cruz fell short, as his support among voters declined in comparison to those backing then-front-runner Trump. A Gallup poll conducted in late April of 2016 shows Cruz at a 45% unfavorability rating among Republican voters, jumping from an unfavorability rating in the...

I'm a staunch Trump supporter who lives in Indiana, I have a really bad feeling about Tomorrow. I was listening to an AM station out of Fort Wayne, they're firmly in the Ted Cruz camp. They were talking about how Ted and Pence we're criss crossing the state today, seriously, the schedule is insane, the wives are also criss crossing to a different set of towns. Sadly, a lot of folks in Indiana are none to bright and what I'd call followers, they basically fall for the MSM stuff easily.Clearly Pence is on board with the GOP establishment, why else...

Dec. 17, 2015 Via Adam Carolla. On whether Cruz would serve as Trump's VP: Adam Carolla: They're talking a lot about you and Trump, and possibly vice presidency, has there been any discussion of that? TC: Uh, none whatsoever. And I have no interest whatsoever. On whether Cruz would pick Trump as VP: AC: You don't want him to be your vice president?? TC: You know, it is difficult to see Donald Trump serving as anybody's vice president.

Tried to donate to Cruz campaign through an e-mail link they sent me for the fundraiser Million Dollar Money Bomb at their site. The link in e-mail takes you to the site and everything went OK until I got to the section where you put zip code in-there was no way to enter it into the form so I couldn't donate because can't complete the form. I did call them -left message, just wondering if anyone else have this problem.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that the way you know which Republican candidate to support for president in 2016 is to look for the candidate who fights for conservative principles. "How do we differentiate" between the crowded field of candidates? Cruz asked the audience. "We all know that in a campaign, every candidate comes up and says they're the most conservative," the Republican said. "We have a way to tell the difference," Cruz said, then cited a verse from the Bible, which says, "You shall know them by their fruits." "Demand...

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) appears to be ramping up his travel schedule leading up to a potential bid to win the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination. First, along with several other senators and House members, Cruz will be in Munich, Germany, for an international security conference. Todd Gillman reports: Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain is leading the congressional delegation, which includes 10 senators and five House members. Four of the senators and two of the congressmen are Democrats.Cruz aides said the senator will engage in important discussions about security challenges facing the United States. Unsaid: this sort of thing also...

Scott Walker, the little-known governor of Wisconsin, is emerging as the main challenger to Jeb Bush in the race to become the Republicans' 2016 presidential candidate. While Mr Bush is raising tens of millions of dollars and attracting huge media attention across the country, polls indicate a quiet momentum is building for the more conservative Mr Walker. The 47-year-old governor is trailing Mr Bush by just a few points in the polls in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina - the three early voting states that will shape the course of the Republican primary election. While the 62-year-old Mr Bush,...

Mike Huckabee dropped his biggest hint to date yesterday that he might run for president in 2016. Should he run, his national name ID and his strong 2008 run probably doom any chance Rick Santorum has (Santorum’s 2012 vote largely overlapped with Huckabee’s 2008 backers). But it also throws a huge monkey wrench into any hopes Senator Ted Cruz has of winning the nomination.

Way back in early February, we heard that Ted Cruz had decided to start playing nice with his fellow Republicans. What a difference 10 days make. After Speaker John Boehner moved Tuesday to pass a "clean" debt-ceiling increase, relying on Democratic votes in the House, it looked like the increase could have an easy path through the Democratic-controlled Senate. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said the nation would hit the debt limit at the end of the month, and with Congress on recess until February 25, Wednesday's vote was almost do or die. But the freshman senator from Texas had other...
