Canadians hold positions closer to the Conservative party than the governing Liberals on a host of policy issues, according to a new National Post poll. The survey, conducted for the Post by COMPAS Inc., shows that average Canadian voters rank their opinions as closer to those of the Conservatives on seven major issues, including preserving the traditional definition of marriage, tougher criminal sentencing laws and freedom of choice in health care.
