I find myself somewhat grateful that I got a mild concussion in mid-January because it forced me to stop staring at my computer, TV and, most importantly, my phone for a solid week. I smacked the back of my skull into the bottom of the cabinet door, sending a shockwave through the part of the brain that controls vision. The resulting concussion, while mild, meant I couldn't look at bright lights or screens or even read without developing motion sickness and painful eye strain. It was boring and frustrating just looking around. The result of this forced screen break was...

They even constructed a version of the robot that looks like a Lego Minifigure that was able to escape a cage by liquefying and then restoring itself to its original form once out. On CHATGPT (openai.com) I entered, "write an essay, in the style of Winston Churchill, to repeal the 1929 Reapportionment Act." It took the AI five seconds to write this: CHURCHILL: "My dear friends, I stand before you today to address a matter of grave importance. The 1929 Reapportionment Act, also known as the Permanent Apportionment Act, is a federal law passed in the United States in 1929 to establish a permanent method for apportioning seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. As the bot continues to expand its language base, becoming more and more “humanlike” in its responses and accurate in the material it generates, it’s becoming clear that the technology may be reaching the point where it is outgrowing its makers. Microsoft has started testing a new split-screen feature for Edge that lets you compare two tabs side by side. The feature was first discovered by Leopeva64-2 on Reddit, and it’s available in an experimental flag in the beta, dev, and canary versions of Microsoft Edge. It was easy to make jokes last summer when reports surfaced that Google Maps and other navigation systems were wrongly directing people off of Interstate 80 and rerouting drivers through Colorado.
