(United Socialist States of America) Well folks, we might just as well get used to it. As long as our country is being governed by a group of nine unelected and unaccountable federal judges where the majority consistently rules against the basic framework of our sacred US Constitution, we will continue to slide further and further into the crippling grip of socialist rule. Every time SCOTUS sneezes or takes a dump, they have the audacity of wiping themselves with the document they swore to protect and uphold. Considering the fact that seven out of nine of those over glorified Jurist...

According to the Associated Press: A sharply divided Supreme Court on Monday upheld the constitutionality of displaying the Ten Commandments on government land, but drew the line on displays inside courthouses, saying they violated the doctrine of separation of church and state. Sending dual signals in ruling on this issue for the first time in a quarter-century, the high court said that displays of the Ten Commandments — like their own courtroom frieze — are not inherently unconstitutional. But each exhibit demands scrutiny to determine whether it goes too far in amounting to a governmental promotion of religion, the court...

The Fourth Commandment: Key to a Relationshup With Our Creator "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the...

WASHINGTON -- As Republican strategists weigh the party's prospects for 2006 and 2008, they are increasingly worried about a political confrontation with Roy S. Moore, the former chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court who became a hero to religious conservatives when he refused to follow a federal court order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state's judicial building.

Just when I thought I had seen everything, I stumble across what might be the most grotesque example of intellectual insanity in the history of the universe. It figures I would find such a shining example of imbecilic lunacy in the halls of our own congress. This special kind of idiocy takes the form of House Resolution 288, conceived and sponsored by none other than Mr. “can’t we all just get along without religion” John Conyers, Jr. [(D) of course…] our esteemed Representative from Michigan. The pending bill is Mr. Conyers answer to the bogus Newsweek report which wrongly accused...

In a Mel Brooks 1981 film "History of the World - Part 1" there is a scene where Brooks plays the part of Moses coming down from Sinai with three stone tablets. He shouts out to the crowd assembled "Here are the Lord's Fifteen... (then he drops one tablet which shatters) uhhhh... Ten Commandments." This was of course meant to be comedic but one wonders if we are not in danger of dropping a tablet ourselves. The dropping shatters not just the tablet but the unity of the church. The unity of the church is the Gospel of Christ through...

Two members of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower level ruling Friday, allowing the religious text to have a spot with reprinted documents featuring constitutional preambles and national symbols. Judges declared the display is "secular ... a multifaceted historical exhibit of texts and images that ... cannot reasonably be understood as an endorsement of religion." No timetable has been set for returning the Commandments print to the main hall of the Administration Building on Second Street in Goshen. The Indiana Civil Liberties Union plans to petition the court for a rehearing in front of the entire court,...

--"I don't want to send the man to Hell, just to remove him from Earth," he said calmly. --"But it isn't your prerogative to decide whether the man should die," came the irritated reply. "God decides these things. Courts decide these things. Not individuals." --"Well, who then is the Court? The Court is a collection of individuals. God is an individual. You are contradicting yourself again." --"Don't play games with me - you know what I mean. You don't have the authority to put someone to death. The Court does." --"Oh, really? According to whom?" --"According to the law, you...

[ big snip ]The Supreme Court is replete with Ten Commandments imagery includeing Moses holding the tablets to several images of twin tablets with Roman numbers from 1 to 10. Lawyers said the Supreme Court's use of the images are obviously of a secular nature, while insisting that the Texas and Kentucky displays went too far. Justice Ginsberg pointed to the frieze depicting Moses with eight other ancient lawgivers. The tablets of Moses are tilted so only the second five Commandments, all secular rules, such as ''Thou shalt not kill," are visible. Religious rules, such as ''Thou shalt not take...

[Editor's Note: This article first appeared on August 27, 2003.]Every day the nation is reminded of how much the Left wants to remove the subject of God from the American lexicon and, thereby, the American mindset. They support cries to remove the Ten Commandments from schools and courthouses, to strike "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, to erase "In God We Trust" from our currency, and to prevent Nativity scenes from appearing on court house lawns. Anything that alludes to Judeo-Christian theology automatically receives the disdain of liberals. And few things point to the authority and history of the...

Supreme Court to Decide our Fate March 2, 20005 Will Stewart The Supreme Court will decide whether or not the Ten Commandments can be displayed in public places, today. How will they rule? Well, that is anyone's guess, because the court has become so liberal that it would not be surprising to hear them rule that the Ten Commandments should be outlawed completely. This nation's courts are out of hand; they do not follow or cite real laws, they create law—a power that was not given to the judicial branch. Yesterday this very court ruled that there can be no...

The Ten Commandments [ Return to booklet contents ] A Royal Law of Love “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 John 4:7-8).Jesus Christ founded the Christian faith on the principle of love—Christians wholeheartedly loving God and each other. John, one of Christ's disciples and closest friends, penned these words near the end of his life: “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God...

Businessman wants site for Ten Commandments monument. CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- A man who says he represents an atheist group is planning to bid for a small plot of the county courthouse lawn that a businessman has said he wants to buy as the site for a Ten Commandments monument. Earl Myler, who heads a company that designs and builds churches, has proposed to Montgomery County commissioners a plan to buy the property in order to return a Ten Commandments monument to the lawn, where a previous monument was removed in 2001. Ken Lewis said his atheist group would bid...

A Coming Time of Martyrdom Many don't grasp the fact that true Christianity is deeply rooted in the writings of the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament. The last generation of Christians will not escape the same burdens that the Jews have had to bear for centuries. by John Ross Schroeder During June arsonists desecrated two more synagogues in the north of London. It's rather hard to believe that more than 100 British synagogues have been attacked in the last four years. Yet this has happened in the green and pleasant land which, since the 17th century, has had a long...

It is frequently stated by Muslim apologists that Muhammad’s wars on Arab polytheists are just like the wars on the pagan peoples in the Old Testament. But this is not true. First, a warning to the reader: This topic leads us into the harsh realities behind some divine commands. If the reader believes that God would never ordain any killing whatsoever, then he or she does not understand all of the Bible, and he or she should skip over this unpleasant article. Before we begin, though, it should be pointed out that God’s best is always to do good to...

ORIGIN OF "THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" An Underground CatechismYou're all familiar with the Christmas song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" I think. To most it's a delightful nonsense rhyme set to music. But it had a quite serious purpose when it was written. It is a good deal more than just a repetitious melody with pretty phrases and a list of strange gifts.Catholics in England during the period 1558 to 1829, when Parliament finally emancipated Catholics in England, were prohibited from ANY practice of their faith by law - private OR public. It was a crime to BE a...

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Ousted Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore said Friday he is considering running for governor in 2006. "I'll be praying about it and considering it," told reporters. Moore was ousted in November 2003 for defying a federal judge's order to remove his 5,280-pound Ten Commandments monument from public display in the state judicial building. He appealed his ouster to the U.S. Supreme Court (news - web sites), but lost. If Moore were to run as a Republican, he could face a GOP primary battle with Gov. Bob Riley, who has not yet said whether he will...

SEATTLE - Is the US in the process of being transformed into a Christian theocracy? The "moral values" that will inform President Bush's second term are said to be sectarian Christian values - which, if true, would explain why 78 percent of Jewish citizens voted for John Kerry. Yet a lot of Orthodox Jews, including me, and other non-Christians feel very comfortable with the future under our evangelical president. Is this a paradox? No, because Mr. Bush's mandate is based not on Christian morality per se, but on a nonsectarian answer to the question of where morals come from in...

For the ump-teenth time, last night I heard a Liberal tell us what values are: health care, livable wages, etc. Then I realized, of course they don't know what values are. They've demanded that they be removed from public view! Yes, the Ten Commandments. EVERYTIME they mention "values," we need to refer them to Exodus 20 ---if they haven't had the Holy Bible removed from their public library. The first two commandments tell us WHO God is, as a foundation of the Judeo-Christian faith. The 3rd command, "Do not take the name of God in vain," is often expanded to...
