Oh the shame of it all. Last month, 1,300 pro-Palestinian activists from the US and Europe came to the region in the name of peace and social justice to demonstrate their solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. Led by the self-declared feminist, antiwar group Code Pink, the demonstrators' plan was to enter Gaza from the Egyptian border at Rafah and deliver "humanitarian aid" to the Hamas terrorist organization. But it was not to be. Led by Code Pink founder and California Democratic fund-raiser Jodie Evans, the demonstrators were not welcomed by Egyptian authorities. Many were surrounded by riot police and...

Fox News just showed footage of Code Pink protesting outside the Hay-Adams hotel in DC where Obama is staying, demanding that he condemn Israel. Fox also reported that Code Pink plans to be there every day until the end of Obama's stay. No link yet.

BERKELEY (BCN) Anti-war activists from the group Code Pink will hold a march at a Marine recruiting station in Berkeley this morning to show solidarity with an Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush on Sunday. Members of the group and others will march around the recruiting station holding shoes in the air to show support for Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi, who hurled two shoes at Bush during a news conference in Baghdad. In many Arab countries, showing the sole of one's shoes, much less throwing shoes at another person, is considered a sign of extreme disrespect. Organizers...

Not long after I arrived at the post, a gaggle of Code Pinkos straggled down the sidewalk wearing Pepto Bismol-pink getups. They looked like bums with bad taste. I immediately felt my nuclear energy ramping up. One Code Pinko began barking like a dog with distemper, daring to ask what I do to support the troops. "We confront traitors like you every day," I said (well, I yelled). "Your group sent $650,000 to terrorists' families when our soldiers are getting killed by them!" She called it "humanitarian aid." Right. Roadside bombs have a certain human touch, don't they? The Pink...

A new front has opened in the war over the war: zoning regulations. Last week, the conservative grassroots organization FreeRepublic.com held its second protest outside the Northeast Washington house that serves as a base of operations for the anti-war group Code Pink. Along with other groups, FreeRepublic.com alleges that Code Pink has set up a “corporate lobbying office” in a residential neighborhood. According to a Free Republic release, neighbors have “complained of Code Pink-affiliated buses being parked on their street, increased traffic, loud gatherings, unkempt trash and strangers going in and out of the house at all hours of the...

The backlash over MoveOn.org's vile advertisement this week attacking Gen. David Petraeus has the jackals of the left sniffing around for a way out. The brainiacs at MoveOn.org probably giggled like school boys with forbidden magazines when they paid the reduced price for the New York Times' advertisement that had bold letters under a picture of Petraeus spelling out, "General Petraeus or General Betray Us?" It should be no surprise that the Times published the anti-American ad. Executive Editor Bill Keller has allowed reporters to publish national security secrets repeatedly in his rag when we are engaged in a hot...

Marghi Dutton is 90 and losing her eyesight, but nothing was going to stop her from trekking to midspan of the Golden Gate Bridge on Sunday with the anti-war group Code Pink: Women for Peace. She joined a crowd of about 100 demonstrators dressed in hot pink hats, shirts and scarves and fought the wind to raise her sign: "Impeach Bush and Cheney!" "My arms are aching, but I'm getting energy from the drivers - so many are honking in support," she said. Code Pink, a national grassroots peace movement inspired by Bay Area women, organized the protest to call...

"...The group seen above advocated 'drop acid, not bombs!'" "Preparation for Code Pink took most of the night before. Some 35 women worked to prepare the signs, banners and to distribute pink." "Three women, supposedly from Crawford, Texas arrived shortly after me with a short song and dance denouncing the war in Iraq."

American "peace mom" Cindy Sheehan called for the closure of the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as she and other activists arrived here Saturday to draw attention to the nearly 400 terror suspects held at the remote site. Sheehan is among 12 human rights and anti-war activists who will travel across this Caribbean island next week, arriving at the main gate of the Guantanamo base in eastern Cuba on Thursday - five years after the first prisoners were flown in. "Anyone who knows me, knows that I am not afraid of anything," Sheehan said when asked about the...

FROM A LEADING CONSERVATIVE THINK TANK... In a Jane Fonda moment, anti-war poster child Cindy Sheehan and members of the anti-American group Code Pink embraced Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez in Caravas in January 2006. Sheehan, urged fellow anti-American activists to help bring down “the U.S. empire.” Sheehan is the most famous member of Code Pink, which has seized the leadership of women activists opposed to the war in Iraq. Mixing radical feminists and pacifists with Old and New Left Marxists, Code Pink is determined to use opposition to the Iraq war to undermine America’s war on terror. Behind the deceptive...

When Republicans lost control of Congress in this month's midterm elections, there was plenty of cheering within the ranks of anti-war activists. Yet that glee at the GOP defeat should not be mistaken for support for Democrats. Although optimistic that the new majority in Congress will help their cause, activists emboldened by a vote largely seen as a referendum on the Iraq war intend to keep up, if not step up, pressure on Democrats and Republicans alike. "Some people felt like celebrating and dancing" over the election's result, said East Bay activist Bob Hanson of Rossmoor Grandparents for Peace. "But...

THE LEFT RETURNS: PART II Two hundred and three years ago, at the signing of the Declaration of Indepedence, Benjamin Franklin offered a starkly realistic view of what awaited America's first freedom fighters. "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." In the Philadelphia of 2006, it will does all conservatives well to remember that assessment. I apologize for the length of what follows. I think all of it is useful as a reminder for what we are up against. Well, friends and comrades, the dust has barely cleared from Election 2006 and the Left has...

Local blogger, Charles Ryder, went down to the Iraq Embassy yesterday with camera in hand to cover the latest Cindy Sheehan/Code PinkO "Look At ME! I'm starving For Peace" media stunt. There were only six or seven PinkOs in attendance, no mention of any mainstream media. It looks like the Jamba Juice Smoothies, protein shakes and coffees with dollops of ice cream are taking their toll on Mother Moonbat Sheehan's waistline, so much so that she had to wear a tablecloth as a skirt...WARNING: BARF ALERT !! Here's a note to you bloggers--especially the suddenly blind conservative ones--who want Jill Carroll to be what she is not. Please read it VERY CAREFULLY and S-L-O-W-L-Y, as some of you seem to have premature articulation and reading comprehension problems (that includes National Review Online's Jim Geraghty a/k/a "Jimmy Carter Geraghty," so nicknamed for his apparent propensity to ignore truths about pro-Islamists when they are right in his face): Over the last few months, since Jill Carroll was kidnapped and upon her release, I posted her REAL views They remain her views, and she has NOT denied or disavowed them....
