February 9, 2008 The troop-bashers in Berkeley, Calif., are at it once more. But this time, the rest of America lashed back. Message to the Left Coast: It's not the 1960s anymore. On Jan. 29, the Berkeley City Council passed several measures targeting the lone Marine recruitment office in town. The antiwar harridans at Code Pink have been picketing the center for months. Last fall, they defaced the building by slapping a sign that read "assasination" (sic) in the military office window. Instead of rising to defend the recruiters' property rights, the city council and mayor voted to sabotage them...

An Orwellian phenomenon if ever there was one, the “Free Speech Movement” flourished at the University of California, Berkeley, in the 1960s. We call it an Orwellian phenomenon because freedom of speech was the last thing the obstreperous little left-wing snots and their professors who participated in the “movement” were interested in. To the “Free Speech Movement,” free speech meant the right to shriek lame-brain slogans and malicious slanders, throwing in some choice obscenities along the way, and shout down any who didn’t agree with your views. This tradition continues at Berkeley. The Berkeley city council has given its approval...

This was a great evening for freeping. The partly cloudy skies gave us a dry Freep and we got more honks and positive reactions from passing motorists than usual. After being gone for a few weeks due to an ankle injury Mary Bell returned with the picture of her grandson Tim, who is serving in Iraq, Mary always holds up the picture along with one of our signs. People always give her the nicest comments when they see her. She is an inspiration to us and we were glad to have her back. Kelly the ever faithful patriot joined us...

Under the weight of a national uproar, two Berkeley City Council members want to rescind an official statement that the U.S. Marines and their recruiting station are "uninvited and unwelcome intruders." Betty Olds and Laurie Capitelli, however, did not move to rescind three other items the council passed last week: giving the protest group Code Pink a free weekly parking space and sound permit; calling on residents to impede the work of any military recruiting station in the city; and asking the city attorney to investigate whether the Marines violate city laws banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. The item...

Society for years has endured the freakish antics of Berkeley dwellers. Naked people streaking in the streets; smelly hippies begging for money as they sing drunken renditions of '60s anti-war songs; adults sitting in trees like a bad zoo exhibit. But the Berkeley City Council and instigators from the extreme left have crossed the line this time. The council Tuesday night passed two anti-military, anti-American resolutions and agreed to send a letter to the city's only Marine recruiting office saying the military are "uninvited intruders." This is treasonous, hateful behavior that steals the First Amendment rights of the Marines, the...

Although this is offered as a gift that will bring chuckles, giggles, and maybe even hysterics that turn to tears, there are times, like this when the message is clear: Your actions may bring you more that you ever dreamed. The reservation and tickets were sent anonymously. The council will received: • Each council member's name entered into The Complete Book of Damned Souls. • A Certificate of Reservation for the council. • A One Way Ticket to Hell on the Express One Stop Hellevator for each member.

The case against the Code Pink activist charged with disorderly conduct for waving her blood-colored hands at Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has stalled in federal court because defense attorneys want Miss Rice to testify. Attorneys for the Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic have issued a subpoena for Miss Rice to testify in a deposition about what she saw during the Oct. 24 incident at a congressional hearing.

The organization asserts that removing President Bush from office "will be like removing a forty-pound tumor from your gut." WCW vows "to send Bush, Cheney and the rest of those fascists packing. ... After that, there are people in 'World Can't Wait' who are working for everything from reforming the Democratic party,...

California's embarrassment in the Senate, Barbara Boxer, attacked fellow Senator Jim DeMint for suggesting that Berkeley CA should have federal funds stripped from the town, according to Mercury News.com. "A spokeswoman for Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., called DeMint's comments 'just plain wrong.' 'Sen. DeMint may not like what the Berkeley City Council has to say, but to punish the children, police, first responders and the university for something they had nothing to do with is just plain wrong,' said Natalie Ravitz, the spokeswoman."

Code Pink has it's Pink Panties in a Twist over Berkeley Boycott Written by Melanie Morgan Sunday, 03 February 2008 Medea Benjamin (co-founded of Code Pinko) forwarded to me her nasty response to Karl G. who wrote that his company is now boycotting Berkeley.First, the snarky, ugly comments of Benjamin (remember, she sent over $600,000 to the families of terrorists who have murdered our troops.)If you are so proud of your action, Karl, then why don’t you sign your last name or say what your business is? Perhaps you’re worried that the IRS might ask why you spent so much...

CURRENT SITUATION AND ITS EFFECT The United States has a history of launching illegal, immoral and unprovoked wars of aggression and the Bush Administration launched the most recent of those wars in Iraq and is threatening the possibility of war in Iran. These wars have produced catastrophic loss of human life, both civilian and military, as well as physically maiming and deforming and psychologically destroying countless numbers of civilians and military personnel. The United States Marine Corps is being used as one of the means of perpetrating and prolonging illegal, unconstitutional and unnecessary wars of the United States. Military recruiters...

One morning last August in San Francisco, six women in pink sweaters marched up a hilly boulevard towing pink roller bags full of shoes. They unzipped the bags in front of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's house, dumped the shoes on her lawn, and went on to arrange loafers, pumps, and pink glittery sandals like hawkers at a yard sale. Anchoring their display was a pair of combat boots, placed on Pelosi's doorstep. The boots, like the other shoes, had been pulled from a dead body in Iraq—the body of Casey Sheehan, in fact, whose mother, Cindy, is running as an Independent...

I found out from Gateway Pundit yesterday about a protest planned at the Israeli Embassy in DC this afternoon, so I packed up my cameras and took a half hour off from work and slipped across town to Embassy Row.The first people I found was a small group of counter protesters, part of the same bunch that counter protest at Walter Reed every Friday night. They told me that before I got there, the protesters were pretty quiet, but the counter-protesters broke out their bull horn and got them all worked up;So they got their own bullhorn out;An arms race...
