WASHINGTON, DC 7/21/06-- This FReep at the gates of Walter Reed Army Medical Center started out calmly enough, very much like so many others since we, the DC Chapter of Free Republic, have have been coming there every Friday night since March, 2005 to counter anti-war agitators organized by Code Pink. Nothing seemed different except the wildly enthusiastic beeps of passing cars. In summertime's long daylight, with many car windows open, the enthusiasm of the drivers for our support-the-troops rally is much easier to express. Even two DC Metro police officers patrolling the area gave us the thumbs up as...

They Don't Support the Troops by Lisa De Pasquale Posted Jul 27, 2006 The constant mantra of the radical left is that while they don’t support the war, they do support the troops. Other than making hollow and flippant claims of support, the anti-war left has done little for the troops or their families. To the contrary, their actions show how little respect they have for the military. In a recent interview with CodePink’s Troops Home Fast cofounder Diane Wilson, she dismisses the troops by comparing their real sacrifices and efforts to CodePink’s faux fast, which includes liquids like...

WASHINGTON -- New York lawmakers led a boycott Wednesday of the Iraqi prime minister's speech to Congress, furious that he still has not condemned Hezbollah's actions against Israel. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton did attend the speech, but her hopes to hear him take such a stand were dashed.

It was well over 90 degrees today in Washington, a typical hot, swampy day in the nation's capitol. Not what you would consider jacket weather. The House Gallery was filled to capacity as Iraqi Prime Minister al-Malaki took the podium and gave a historic address to a joint session of Congress. Al-Malaki was interrupted briefly by a protestor, shown being escorted out, here:

You would never know it from our one party media, but the "disruptor" at Prime Minister al-Maliki's speech was not just a random protestor. She was none other than the professional anti-America agitator (and Hugo Chavez paid agent) Medea Benjamin. From a CodePink press release: Medea Benjamin is arrested on July 26 for interrupting a speech by the Prime Minister of Iraq.Medea Benjamin Arrested For Disrupting Iraqi Prime Minister’s Congressional AddressFasting co-founder of CODEPINK and Global Exchange says Iraqis want war to endCODEPINK and Global Exchange cofounder Medea Benjamin is arrested on July 26 for interrupting a speech by the Prime Minister...

Al-Maliki was interrupted briefly by a shouting demonstrator wearing a pink T-shirt that read, "Troops Home Now." The young woman was lifted from her seat by officers and carried out of the House visitor's gallery, while al-Maliki paused and grimaced in irritation.

It was a nice lazy, early Dogs Day in August FReep. The FReepers were out numbered by the moonbats for only 10 minutes. Otherwise we had a lazy afternoon standing in the shady while the moonbats baked, and baked, and BAKED. The FReepers in attendance included regulars Lurker Bill, [Mrs] Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and myself along with BMWcyle (BMW) and Apple Blossom. BELOW: Lurker Bill and myself setting up the banners. BELOW TOP: BMW with small blue banner and red banner behind us. BELOW BOTTOM: Blue Banner on the grassy knoll as seen by the cars coming east on MD...

"The reason this happened was they were warned, they could hold any sign they wanted as long as it didn't say 'honk' on it," Kitchen said. "They were warned a couple of weeks ago. They decided to test it, evidently." Police Chief Michael Kitchen said . . .it's illegal to "incite people to sound their horn when not reasonably necessary." Kittila said. . . police first approached protesters in mid-June and said the signs urging people to honk had to go because they caused too much noise. . . changed the signs to say 'Ferndale police say don't honk if...

Once again, the peace activist, free speech advocating hags from Code Pink stole some of the D.C. Chapter's signs outside Walter Reed.Last week, we debuted Burma Shave style signs in an effort to inform the public that they should not be fooled into thinking the Code Pink demonstrators at Walter Reed love this country. The signs worked as drivers of cars who honked for our patriotic demonstration at the main gate were markedly less inclined to be fooled by the two American flags displayed by the Pinkos and also honk for them. The Burma Shave signs were having the same effect...

Imagine four days trapped in a hotel with Cindy Sheehan, Medea Benjamin and Gael Murphy........Next month, while gullible anti-war protesters make their pilmigrage to hot and dusty Crawford, Texas to join Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink in their Troops Home Fast campaign, Sheehan and the Pinko elite will be living it up in Austin at a four day retreat that features luxury accomodations and kook therapy.Being a Marxist revolutionary is tough work, so who can blame them for indulging in a little capitalist excess, even if the resort, called The Crossings, bills itself as a progressive learning center.Lodging ranges from...

APN) ATLANTA –“You’ve got electronic voting machines. Many people called in and shared their concern. They pushed the button for Cynthia McKinney and Hank Johnson came up. It wasn’t one time, it wasn’t two times, it was many, many times,” Karen Fitzpatrick, who has been monitoring elections for US Rep. McKinney’s re-election campaign, told Atlanta Progressive News in an exclusive interview. Let me repeat: The McKinney Campaign says they have documented complaints of voters here in Georgia whose votes FLIPPED BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES on Diebold machines. “It started early this morning. There were well over 25 to 30 calls...

Photos by [Mrs] Trooprally and Plea Deal. WASHINGTON, DC, July 14, 2006--We couldn't help but notice, as daylight stays later during the summer months, that many of the southbound cars passing the DC Chapter's support-the-troops rally every Friday night at Walter Reed not only honk their horns for us, they also see the Code Pink anti-war "vigil" down the street, assume they are with us and honk for them, too. From the other direction, most drivers passing the Pinkos first don't beep for them, but beep loudly for us -- drivers from every walk of life and of every ethnicity...

Unfortunately there was an accident in the middle of the intersection in Olney this Saturday. The car shown was in the intersection waiting to turn left, started his turn as the light turned 'yellow'. A car trying to beat the 'yellow' blew through the intersection, hitting the turning car at the right rear tire area, spinning it a little. No one was seriously injured since most of the impact was a glancing blow. But the passenger in the turning car was transported to the hospital for a check up. Apparently he had just been there and was on his way...

Gleam of Dawn Moonbat Mysteries Part III by Wayne Boettcher Posted: 07/15/2006 It was a beautiful morning on July 12, 2006 as I traveled through Tucson toward 2302 E. Speedway in Tucson, Arizona, the address of a strip mall containing the Military Recruiting Center where a weekly protest / pro-troops rally occurs. Earlier the almost full moon shone brightly in the southwest as the vapor trail from a successful White Sands high-altitude missile interceptor test curled in the eastern sky. When I arrived at 7:00 am, Pro-Americans were already set up with flags and banners. I had admired the...

Yesterday was Day 10 of Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink's Troops Home Fast. A few members of the D.C. Chapter ventured out to see how they're doing.Cindy Sheehan is jet-setting in Europe this week, fasting on vanilla ice, smoothies and coffee while pinkos Medea Benjamin, Gael Murphy and Nancy Mancias are carrying on the fast in D.C.Code Pink and the Out of Iraq Caucus held a joint press conference on the Cannon House Office Building with the Capitol Dome as a background. Democrats Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, Dennis Kucinich, Cynthia McKinney and Maxine Waters endorsed Code Pink and pledged to...

The following message was posted to the Walter Reed After Action Report of Week 64, July 07,2006: To: PleaDeal I am one of many family members of soldiers who are presently at Walter Reed. We have been there now for six weeks, and with many more to go. After a very hard week of being with my 21 yr. old son who has been deployed to Iraq twice, and came home with stage 4 right renal cell carcinoma, {advanced kidney cancer}, It has been so absolutely refreshing and quite frankly, very helpful in dealing with our pain, to see you...

FReep #64: Pinkos Show How They "Support" the Troops In FREEPERS: The ANTS at SHEEHAN'S "I'LL STARVE TOMORROW" PICNIC at the White House 7/03/06, the "AAR Champion Writer" Albion Wilde described the Sheenanigans of Code Pinko's Last Supper-and-mediawhore-fest. It appears that going without solid food for as much as *gasp!* 24 whole hours!?! put the leftists in a really bad mood. Sheehan already swiped the "Starving for Attention" slogan from the FReep banner, so perhaps Medea and Gael were looking for more ideas to steal and turn into commie propaganda when they strolled up the block and attempted to "reach...

Dear Friends, I was very impressed with your hunger strike protest in front of the White House on July 3. I was especially stirred to learn that a number of you have pledged to take the protest all the way and make the ultimate sacrifice if necessary. I was indeed deeply moved when reading that some, like Diane Wilson, co-founder of the Code Pink: Women for Peace and organizer of the hunger strike, are giving up food entirely until the troops come home. But no reporter could have expressed your resolution more eloquently or powerfully than Ms. Wilson herself when...

Cindy Sheehan, peace mom, mother to the world and a woman who calls terrorists freedom fighters, is not only starving for attention, she's starving for protein (insert tasteless joke here.)Writing in her blog from Venice, Italy, Sheehan bemoans the hardship of trying to maintain the "troops home fast" she started on July 4 in front of the White House while traveling around the world: I find traveling out of the country very challenging being on a fast. When I was on a layover in Madrid on my way to Venice, Italy yesterday, the closest thing I could find to a...
