MTV show to feature Dallas gay school Struggling Walt Whitman hopes film brings students, funds04/17/2003 By KENT FISCHER / The Dallas Morning News In the six years since its founding, the Walt Whitman Community School has struggled with low enrollment, strapped budgets and a perplexing problem. How, school organizers wonder, do you expand a private school for gay and lesbian teens when the students you serve are, essentially, in hiding? One possible answer: Get yourself on MTV. Whitman, one of the country's few schools established specifically to educate gay and lesbian teens, will get a national megaphone Thursday night when...

TNN Rebrands Itself Spike TV APRIL 15, 2003 - TNN: The National Network will become Spike TV on June 16 and will be repositioned as the first network targeting men. "Today the first network for men has a name, and it's Spike TV," said Albie Hecht, president of TNN. "Spike TV captures the attributes and essence of what we want the first network for men to be. It's unapologetically male; it's active; it's smart and contemporary with a personality that's aggressive and irreverent. This is a first major step in our journey to super-serving men in a way no one...

The following email was sent to Rush. To listen to Rush read this email (complete with his all knowing commentary) click here. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_041103/content/who_s_responsible_for_more_deaths__enron_or_cnn_.guest.html This man (Eason Jordan) is disgusting. He lifts rationalizing to new heights. To tell the truth or not to tell the truth, that is the question. Is it nobler in the mind to tell the truth and save some lives, or to refrain, thus costing more lives over time. Oh, and silly me. I thought it was a journalists duty to report the truth. But not when it interferes with the bottom line apparently. After all CNN...

U.S. May Face Elite Iraqi TroopsMarch 22, 2003 U.S. and British forces besieged the southern city of Basra on Saturday and pounded Baghdad with impunity in the first daylight air raids of the war. But tough fighting loomed for coalition troops as they pressed deeper into Iraq. Whether it's Dan Rather attending a Democratic fundraiser; the network using "virtual billboards" and not letting the public know, blown election calls; the famous "sees it and decrees it" on-air screed against Katherine Harris; or the knowledge that CBS provided what amounted to free propaganda for Saddam Hussein on the verge of a war; there is one thing that remains constant -- the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather is a joke. The fact that Dan is still even asked to address the issue of his liberal bias is as ridiculous as his patronizing "Aw Shucks" responses about doing...

New York (AP) - Former President Clinton, in his first televised mini- debate with Republican Bob Dole on Sunday, said that a tax cut at a time that war is looming in Iraq is "bad economics." Dole, Clinton's opponent in the 1996 presidential election, said the Bush administration has launched a global war to protect the American way of life, "which means, among other things, the freedom to save or invest our own money." The retired politicians have agreed to revive the "Point-Counterpoint" segment on "60 Minutes," television's most popular newsmagazine. In the two-minute debate, the two will face off...

My three year old grandson is ill and spending the day with me. Usually, he plays his games on computer or watches his favorite movies. But today he is lethargic and wanted to watch cartoons. His parents allow him to watch Nick so I turned it on. During the program that airs between 1:30 and 2:00 CST (I have no idea the name) a character dressed in a suit said "I am rich. I am important. I am a Republican". I had no idea that the liberal writers and producers spread their overt bias to even cartoons at the pre-school...
