President Donald Trump wants to drain the swamp. Well here's the perfect place to start. Remember this name: Ben Rhodes. I’ll get back to Ben in a moment. He is the centerpiece to Obama’s final vicious attack on Israel. Obama made many shocking, damaging attacks on Israel. The list is so long it would take me an entire book to list them all.Need proof? It accelerated in his final days. It was as if he had to show his true hatred for Israel with his last official acts. Many Americans know Obama allowed the United Nations and their anti-Semite representatives to condemn Israel for...

Members of the mainstream media were left fuming this afternoon after President Trump refused to call on any of their organizations for the third straight press conference. Yet many of these same news organizations have likened Trump to the Taliban and Adolf Hitler, floated false rumors about his use of a Russian prostitute, and accused his administration of being pro-slavery. After Trump avoided calling on MSNBC during today's presser with Benjamin Netanyahu, MSNBC’s Peter Alexander complained that the conservative journalists he did call on didn’t ask “real questions” like he would have. “What was striking," Alexander said, was that "President...

The media is promoting violence against senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller following his interviews last Sunday in which he talked about vote fraud influencing the presidential election. CBS Television show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert featured a segment that showed Miller about to have his head bashed in with a baseball bat, as a mental patient about to be given electro-shock therapy and with his severed head on a pike.

CBS White House correspondent Major Garrett wrote an op-ed for Sunday’s Washington Post imploring journalists not to skip the White House Correspondents' Dinner. The headline was "Skipping 'nerd prom' now would prove Trump right" -- that journalists hate him too strongly to sit through a dinner with him. Garrett also pushed back against the Post’s own Margaret Sullivan, who argued that it would be appropriate to cancel the event altogether because the press should not be Mr. Trump’s “prom date.†"But no self-respecting White House reporter has ever been a president’s prom date, and the dinner isn’t a date at...

Survivor: Game Changers — Mamanuca Islands is the 34th season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, March 8, 2017 on CBS at 8/7c with a special two hour episode. References: Official Survivor site at CBSWikipedia article There will be twenty returning players divided into two tribes of ten players each. The "Game Changers" theme as with some past themes, is of course utterly contrived. Apparently the original plan called for three teams consisting of (1) winners, (2) those who made the jury, and (3) those who were booted prior...

("CBS Evening News" anchor Scott Pelley.CBS) CBS News anchor Scott Pelley threw shade at President Donald Trump on Monday night, following a day of head-scratching comments from the president and his team. "It has been a busy day for presidential statements divorced from reality," Pelley said on Monday's edition of "CBS Evening News."

Respected news icon Dan Rather launched a Facebook page to counter the lies and “alternative facts” from Donald Trump.
-
Has anyone else noticed that CBS News refuses to say "President Trump" and instead calls him "Mr. Trump"? I Noticed that their anchors and reporters all say "Mr. Trump" and no one says "President Trump". Are other fake news channels doing the same thing?

Dan Rather warned Americans about the Trump administration in a Facebook post on Sunday, saying these are not "normal times." The former CBS Evening news anchor targeted President Trump, adviser Kellyanne Conway and press secretary Sean Spicer for comments in the last 24 hours. "When you have a spokesperson for the president of the United States wrap up a lie in the Orwellian phrase 'alternative facts' ..." Rather wrote. "When you have a press secretary in his first appearance before the White House reporters threaten, bully, lie, and then walk out of the briefing room without the cajones to...

If you thought the results of the 2016 election would cause members of the news media to do a bit of soul-searching about the tenor of their coverage, you were wrong. If you thought they might want to understand why their hysterical attempts to take down Donald Trump were all for naught, you were mistaken. And if you thought they were interested in understanding why media trust numbers just hit record lows, you were delusional. After spending weeks post-election complaining about the rise of so-called fake news and attributing Hillary Clinton’s loss to its proliferation, a large number of members of...

The broadcast morning and evening news shows have spent 20 minutes and 18 seconds focusing on White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s comments about the size of Donald Trump’s Inauguration crowd. Meanwhile, when President Trump signed a far more consequential executive order that limits the penalties from the Affordable Care Act, the same networks spent only 1 minute and 39 seconds covering it – less than one-twelfth the coverage. On Sunday's World News Tonight, for example, ABC correspondent Mary Bruce took this jab: "Today, the White House defended their denial of reality." All three networks showed NBC Meet the Press...

The lawyer for Jonathan Keith ''Jack'' Idema said Tuesday that he doesn't think Idema can get a fair trial in an Afghan court. Idema, who is from Fayetteville, has been held in an Afghan jail since his July 5 arrest on charges of kidnapping and torturing Afghan citizens. Two other Americans, Brent Bennett of Fayetteville and Ed Caraballo of New York, are being held with him. Idema has been identified as the leader of the group. He has said he and the others were hunting down terrorists. A hearing in a Kabul court for the three men was set to...

President-elect Donald Trump is expected to be deposed this week in the restaurant lawsuit he filed against José Andrés for backing out of a deal to open a restaurant in his Washington, D.C. hotel. This is one of two lawsuits the president-elect is involved in related to restaurants he planned for the hotel, which opened late last year. Mr. Trump’s lawyers tried in December to have the deposition in the breach-of-contract lawsuit delayed, but the judge said it must take place this week. Trump Tower in New York is the likely venue for the deposition, according to one of Mr....

CBS’s Face the Nation led off 2017 with a political panel where everyone was completely disgusted by President-elect Trump. The two Bush White House veterans – speechwriters Michael Gerson and David Frum – talked in dark terms about an election stolen by Russia and a forthcoming “constitutional crisis.” On the Left were Jeffrey Goldberg, the Obama-polishing editor of The Atlantic magazine, and former NPR anchor Michele Norris, who left the taxpayer-funded network when her husband took a job in the Obama White House. Norris declared that Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan clearly had a racial component, since America was...

Donald Trump said again on Sunday that he is “open-minded” about climate change -- but also that “nobody really knows” the truth about the issue, which contradicts the fact that there is near-universal scientific agreement on the issue. In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” moderator Chris Wallace pointed out to Mr. Trump that in the space of a week he bothmet with former Vice President Al Gore and appointed Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, a climate change denier who has opposed many environmental regulations, to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Where, Wallace asked, does Mr. Trump stands on climate...

During Friday’s broadcast of “CBS This Morning,” a preview of an interview Scott Pelly conducted with House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) set to air Sunday night was featured in which Ryan discussed the forthcoming Trump presidency. Ryan acknowledged they had their difference in the past and that he did not see this election outcoming coming, but he was upbeat about the prospect of working with Trump to accomplish things. Partial transcript as follows: PELLY: You called Donald Trump a racist. RYAN: No I didn’t. I said his comment was. PELLY: Uh huh. I’m not sure there’s a great deal of...

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/60-minutes-house-speaker-ryan-donald-trump-scott-pelley/ The speaker of the House tells Scott Pelley he and President-elect Donald Trump have made up and speak on the phone nearly every day. On the campaign trail, the two were at odds. Speaker Ryan had called one of Trump’s statements racist and Trump dismissed him as ineffective and disloyal, but Ryan says the two are not looking back and are already working together. Ryan spoke to Pelley today in Washington in an interview to be broadcast on 60 Minutes, Sunday Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. An excerpt of that interview appeared on the CBS Evening News with...
