CBS is looking to put an increased focus on foreign relations next fall, placing a pilot order for an hour-long drama about a female Secretary of State, TVLine has learned. The project, titled Madam Secretary, chronicles the personal and professional life of a maverick female SoS as she drives international diplomacy, wrangles office politics and balances a complex family life.
