A longtime Republican Party activist charged with shooting at workers whom she claims "butchered" trees at her Woodway home was indicted Wednesday. Carolyn Payne Lomax, 63, was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault in a January 2004 incident in which she reportedly fired at workers for Asplundh Co. who were trimming trees around utility lines for utility company Oncor. Lomax has said she fired the shots to get the workers off her property after repeatedly telling them to stop their work and to call a supervisor.
