    "Just like the Pope! :-)"

    SD

A fisher of men. That is his business. Is he God--no. Peter, being human, denied Christ three times. Paul killed Christians for a living. St.Peter and St.Paul [correction].

The Pope has a relationship with God that few have thought of. Do you know a way to stop the "sexual revolution?"

Oh my dear Lord. Where did you hear that Mary was considered part of the Trinity. This is nothing but a sickening rumor. What do you mean, ADDED? Yeah, big bad Catholics, altered Louis DeMontfort's writings and no one knew about.<:-(

    Jesus Christ was no fundamentalist...

    (courtesy of IMRight)

In John 9, John talks about Jesus healing an ill man on the Sabbath, while the pharisees bash him with the second commandment ("Thou shall keep the Sabbath Day holy"), Jesus stands by His actions...

HE INTERPRETED SCRIPTURE DIFFERENTLY THAN WHAT THE BIBLE CLEARLY SAID, NOT REBELLIOUS, BUT SMART.

"Couldn't be because it would then be on their own time and they wouldn't be getting paid for it?????"

What time Reggie? What money? A priest spends his time in service to God for little money. Probably the amount you get for Social Security. Maybe I just don't spend my life infront of a computer. Wait, hear is the Bapstist comeback...for the priest scandal...they weren't priests in the first place. Don't even try to ressurect the scandal, remeber Jimmy Baker...and Swaggert...with the prostitute...we are all human.

Has Mary ever appeared to you while on a mountain, most likely the answer is no (or any other dead person for that matter). You would be one of the most jubilant people alive. You cannot dismiss that she did appear to Saint Louis de Montfort, because she appeared so many times. Some real blasphemy:

    10. And yet in truth we must still say with the saints: De Maria numquam satis : We have still not praised, exalted, honoured, loved and served Mary adequately. She is worthy of even more praise, respect, love and service.

This was hundreds of years ago, before the Rosary, the Hail Mary, and well, just before everything "Marianistic."  If Saint Louis De Montfort was alive now, he would NOT have cried for more praise, honour, exaltation, love or whatever.

    14. With the whole Church I acknowledge that Mary, being a mere creature fashioned by the hands of God is, compared to his infinite majesty, less than an atom, or rather is simply nothing, since he alone can say, "I am he who is". Consequently, this great Lord, who is ever independent and self-sufficient, never had and does not now have any absolute need of the Blessed Virgin for the accomplishment of his will and the manifestation of his glory. To do all things he has only to will them.

THIS IS AMAZING, BOLD THIS TOO!   WHAT IS IT THAT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT THESE WORDS?

"With the whole Church I acknowledge that Mary, being a mere creature fashioned by the hands of God is, compared to his infinite majesty, less than an atom, or rather is simply nothing, since he alone can say, "I am he who is."

AND CATHOLICS ARE POLYGAMISTS AND MARIANISTS, RIGHT?:-)

All sacraments except for the Holy Eucharist; which with Jesus is present in every way-body and blood, and spiritually.

I was wondering if you could help me out Dave. I was thinking, Jesus Christ was no fundamentalist; like when He healed the lame man on the Sabbath, however, I just can not find this passage (bar reading all of the Gospels, which might be what I have to do).

A few postings by tHe AnTiLiB in the last few days:

" It is pretty sad that fear of God and prayers to Him and the saints (INCLUDING MARY) have sustained the Catholic Church for 2,000 years and has not been surpassed in population since."

"The first Bibles were written in Aramaic, then translated to Greek, then Latin; or possibly Latin then Greek, but the first were written in Aramaic, you know the language Christ spoke."

"Not every person saved is a saint, I won't explain it, but it takes the process of canonization. There was no heaven until Christ died. No salvation, but a hell; so therefore a "limbo" (just a name)."

OLD REGGIE...is it a habit to quote things from weeks ago, because I'll tell you right now it's been a lot longer than "few days."

Look, I'll admit, I'm not history savy, but the last statement was made as rebutle to someone asking, "so everyone saved is a saint?"

tHe AnTiLiB I'll get to your previous comment later, sorry, don't have the time:-(

"A Pope is infallible when teaching on matters of faith and morals". Right?

"A Pope cannot then be guilty of heresy". Right?

"Pope" Honorius was convicted of heresy and anathematized by the 6th Ecumenical Council. Right?

Honorius either wasn't a Pope or the Pope is not infallible when teaching on matters of faith or morals. Right?

The last time I checked, Peter denied being a disciple of Jesus three times, right?

I guess we're all human, right?

Jimmy Swaggert and Jimmy Baker were perfect in all ways, right? (Maybe you became a fundamentalist after that incident, if you need, which you do, more information, just ask)

Humanity alone cannot avoid sin, right?

It takes God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (or whatever you want to call what came at the Pentecost), right?

Were these not my words-"...infallibility does not mean absent from sin, or somehow supernatural."

Was Honorius preaching from the "Chair of Peter?"

So, I guess Jesus only wanted HIS CHURCH'S leadership to exist up until Peter's death.  Because, He instilled in Peter the Rock, Jesus the "cornerstone", so there should always be a leader, which is in the Pope or the "Vicar of Christ."  The main reason why there was to be leadership after Peter's death was because Jesus said "...whatever you gain on earth will be gained in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven," (Matthew 16:19 I believe).

In that very same passage I sent to you concerning Peter, the Rock, etc. it says "...whatever you gain on earth will be gained in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."  That is why the Pope is infallible, because obviously, heaven can not lose.  Infallibility does not mean the Pope is absent from sin, speaks in perfect grammar, or says only the right thing all the time, every time.  The Pope is only infallible when preaching on faith and morals.  Now, this gets complicated; infallibility means "free from error," not perfection.  So, in conclusion, the Pope when preaching on faith and morals is free from error.

You were the one that started the house analogy.

How do you know He pointed to Himself? And if He was talking directly to Peter, so if Jesus was referring to the entire group, he would have said so.

Quester, Jesus specifically singled out Peter (which would indicate a single, MAIN authority (not all). And take this analogy-If you but leave a house at a stand still, the elments like the wind would push and the wooden planks may become weak, therfore needing maintenance.

I think you may be mistaken, but when Peter and what not were referring to repent and Baptize, it could be give up your sins and get baptized. Now you can see where so many interpretations comes from. So at the same time, Mark 6:12-13 "...cast out many demons...," says that there were evils or "sins" taken out of men, this comes almost right after the word repent.
