After years on the run, the saga of Tina Loesch and her lover, Sky Hanson, ended hours after AMW aired their story on Nov. 15, 2008. While the couple took their own lives in what cops are calling a suicide pact, the investigation is far from over as authorities in three states search for Kristopher Loesch. I have sneakily received an email from the Code Pinkos. They and their commie buddies are planning to hit the streets, going door to door, in an attempt to recruit more commies to their cause. The email text is in pink with translations underneath. See comments below for a better understanding of the Code Pinkos (barely) hidden agenda. Dear Friend, (Dear Comrade,) September 11 reminds us not only of the tragic events of 2001 but also how Bush's post-attack strategy has squandered so many lives and resources. While the Bush administration closed the door on those who advocated an alternative...

With 41 percent of Tech's traveling roster having never played a college football game, the Hokies' opener against East Carolina this Saturday could be a tough match-up. "We're dressing 10 true freshmen and 15 redshirt freshmen," Virginia Tech head football coach Frank Beamer said. "It's a little bit scary ... We lost a couple kids from last year, but we are very impressed with our freshman class." That is not to say Tech has no veterans on the team, but with only a few at each position, the freshmen will need to step up quickly in order to fend off...

CHARLOTTE -- Fox Sports will give Greg Good, the Carolina Panthers fan who dresses up as "Catman" at home games, a new pickup truck, after an on-air practical joke by the network's broadcast team during a preseason game went wrong. In the second half of an Aug. 24 game at Bank of America Stadium between Carolina and Miami, Fox announcers Dick Stockton and Daryl Johnston started billing a car giveaway as a reason for fans to stay tuned after the teams' starters left the game. "Now all you fans out there, you might be thinking, 'Well, the starting units are...

(snip) With just under two minutes to go in the Panthers-Miami Dolphins exhibition, Good was under the impression Fox Sports was about to give him a new car. The network's announcing team had promoted the free car giveaway on air at the end of the third quarter. Instead, sideline reporter Tony Siragusa handed Good a toy car. Good, believing the toy was a symbol for the real thing, said on-camera to Siragusa: "Thank you! Thank you very, very, very much -- it's a blessing and a prayer answered!" But Fox Sports was playing a joke. And it wasn't funny. It...

I had not been to visit the main Navy website for several months, so it was surprising to find that none of my Navy history bookmarks work anymore. Unfortunately, all links in my collection of Navy bookmarks point to http://www.navy.mil and http://www.history.navy.mil. Attempts to browse to the site return a "DNS lookup error". (Army.mil and af.mil still work.) BTW, all of the links at the Navy recruiting site -- http://www.navy.com/sitesofinterest/ -- also point to navy.mil. All google searches on Navy topics seem to bring up navy.mil. Does anyone know if the address has changed? Or if there is a redirect...
