I tried to watch it but couldn’t stand the waif like Lily Collin’s or her ridiculous outfits.

Didn’t Ashley admit in her diary that she was promiscuous? She probably had a number of extra marital affairs. You never saw Ashley and hubby together, probably waiting until Joe was either dead or out of office to divorce.

I’ve had pierogi from Polish restaurants, delis etc. Nothing has ever come close to my grandmother’s pierogi. At Christmas she would make hundreds of every variety. Everyone in the family liked something different. One of my aunts was partial to prune and blueberry, we loved sauerkraut.
When one of my aunts found Brillo in one of her pierogi we knew it was time for grandma to retire. No one ever picked up the mantle. Way too much work.

We were on Maui in 1986 when we were hit with a tsunami warning . Our hotel was evacuated and we were told to only take our valuables. We were led across the street into the sugar cane fields. We sat there for hours with helicopters circling and we were told that most of the hotels would be destroyed.
There was a ripple in Honolulu Harbor and they called all clear.
We remained a little unsettled for awhile but it was a unique experience.

We took my grandsons , who were 9 and 10, on a cruise years ago. My daughter couldn’t stress strongly enough how we had to watch the 10 year old, a daredevil. We never had a problem but I was a little on edge. The daredevil is now 23 and has calmed down.

His brother is my grandson’s football coach and my daughter’s former neighbor.

My grandson graduated from Wake last year. His commencement speaker was someone we never heard of but she was certainly not controversial. Wake Forest isn’t exactly a bastion of liberalism. My grandson’s fraternity was pretty much filled with conservative young men.
