Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is waving the white flag in North Carolina, surrendering the state to former President Donald Trump as her campaign withdraws nearly $2 million in planned ad buys from television stations statewide one week before the election.

This is a video of Bishop Steven J. Lopes, bishop of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, discussing the Eucharist. The Ordinariate is a diocese comprising the entire United States and Canada, for parishes that converted to Catholicism, usually from the Anglican church. It is part of the Latin church, but has its own distinctive liturgy based on the Sarum rite familiar to St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher. It is generally said ad orientem, and uses a separate missal known as Divine Worship. It has its own calendar of saints. Mass is said in high English....

Several weeks ago a Freeper posted a video montage of all the MSM saying how Biden was “sharp as a tack.” It went on and on. I can’t find it, but need it. BTW, I thinks we should start a Hall of Fame for videos we can all use. Just a thought. Not every video, of course, but just the best. Videos would have to be nominated and elected into the Hall of Fame, and there would be a page with all the URLs. Just a side thought. But any help finding that video would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in...

It is important that we all understand how the 25th Amendment works. To this end, please read it. It is pretty easy to understand, but there are some subtleties that are not so obvious. Also, it is not bullet proof. Here's the text: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/amendment-25/ This thread is to discuss the 25th Amendment, and how it might be invoked and operate both in theory, and in the present circumstances. Please refrain from snarky remarks about President Biden's and Kamala Harris' respective mental abilities, unless it's truly funny in a way we haven't seen before. Not that they aren't warranted. It's just...

As directed by the Order today in State of Georgia v. Donald John Trump, et al., 23SC 188947, I hereby offer my resignation, effective immediately, as Special Prosecutor for the Fulton County District Attorney's office. Although the court found, that "the Defendants failed to meet their burden of proving that the District Attorney acquired an actual conflict of interest," I am offering my resignation in the interest of democracy, in dedication to the American public, and to move this case forward as quickly as possible.

Several weeks ago I noticed that excerpts from articles no longer appear below the article's title, as they used to. I can't find any setting that would restore them. Is there such a setting at the personal level? Or was this a system-wide change? If it was system-wide, I would advocate for restoring the excerpts on the main forum page.

The title pretty much says it. I need a recommendation for a good VPN to use to ensure my privacy on the internet. Specific requirements: 1. It can't conflict with the VPN I use for work. 2. It must be reasonably priced. 3. It must work on my Windows computer and iOS phones, iPad, and Apple TV.

Does anyone have any well informed suggestions for purchasing pepper spray for personal protection? Cost is not really an issue. I'm interested in brands that are most effective, easy to use without spraying it by mistake, reliable online vendors, etc.

There are five considerations that seem to me to make it very likely that Archbishop Viganò's testimony is truthful. To be sure, given how numerous and detailed are the claims he makes, it would not be surprising if he has gotten certain particulars wrong. And perhaps in his passion he has inadvertently overstated things here and there. But the main claims are probably true. I certainly do not believe he is lying. The reasons are these: The deafening silence of Pope FrancisThe apparent silence of Pope BenedictArchbishop Viganò's concern for his own place in history and his immortal soulPope Francis’s...

I have a personal domain since 1997. In recent years I've been hosting it at HostExcellence.com. Today my email stopped working. When I went to HostExcellence.com, this is the notice I received: ixwebhosting.com, hostexcellence.com, and cloudbyix.com are closed for business Sorry we've closed our doors, but if you were an existing customer, we've migrated you to one of our other brands, please see below. Based on the type of service I had with them, I was apparently migrated to site5.com, but I can't log in there, either. After I tried, I realized it could be a phishing attack. But that...

Saint Alphonsus church in Baltimore is one of the gems of the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. A magnificent shrine where Saint John Neumann and Blessed Francis Seelos were once pastors, it has been home to the revived traditional Latin Mass since 1992. Today it has been announced that the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter will administer the parish, with Father Joel Kiefer, FSSP, to be installed as pastor. Monsignor Arthur Bastress, the most recent pastor of the church, has retired at the age of 90, ordained a priest in 1951. He worked tirelessly to keep the TLM going,...

It seemed to me that there was very little news about Hillary's campaign events, especially for this late in the election. The reason: There are none! According to the official campaign website, Hillary herself is not scheduled to appear at any events between tomorrow and the end of the campaign. Kind of makes me think of 30 people showing up for Kaine in Florida, and his canceled event today.

For several elections now I've followed the progress of the election on electoral-vote.com. Although their commentary is fairly strongly left-leaning, I have found their results to be pretty accurate. For the last several weeks I've been comparing their current data with the data from August 25. There are some interesting findings. Here are the weekly totals for the last 4 weeks: Date Clinton Trump Tied 8/25 332 191 15 9/1 303 191 44 9/8 294 226 18 9/15 274 258 6 9/22 289 245 4 So four weeks ago, Trump needed to gain 79 electoral votes, and Clinton could afford...

For the last week or so I've been comparing the current data with the data from August 25. There are some interesting findings. Here are the weekly totals for the last 3 weeks: Date Trump Clinton Tied 8/25 191 332 15 9/1 191 303 44 9/8 226 294 18 9/15 258 274 6 So three weeks ago, Trump needed to gain 79 electoral votes, and Clinton could afford to lose 62. By last week, Trump had already gained 53 electoral votes (67% of those he needs), and Clinton had lost 38 (62% of those she can afford to lose). It's...

I have followed the last several presidential races on electoral-vote.com, and have found their commentary to be rather left-leaning, but their results to be fairly accurate. For the last several days I've been comparing the current data with the data from about two weeks ago. There are some interesting findings. As of August 25, the totals were:Trump: 191 Clinton: 332 Tied: 15 Today, the total is:Trump: 244 Clinton: 294 Tied: 0 So two weeks ago, Trump needed to gain 79 electoral votes, and Clinton could afford to lose 62. I have followed the last several presidential races on electoral-vote.com, and have found their commentary to be rather left-leaning, but their results to be fairly accurate. In today's data, we see something pretty interesting, as compared to yesterday's data: 9/6 - Clinton 312, Trump 197, Ties 299/7 - Clinton 323, Trump 197, Ties 18 On the surface it looks like Clinton gained ground as compared to yesterday. But if you look more deeply, you see that there's been a lot of movement that isn't readily apparent from the simple count of electoral votes. Between yesterday and today a total of...
