Sure looks like a flame thread. Saying it isn’t doesn’t make it not one.

You might want to consider studying both Communism and Christianity and than pick one. One sells your soul, the other saves it.

Think about why third world despots choose Communism.

Communism is about coercion, they just like to call it cooperation.
Communism is about ill will. Making everybody equal does nobody good.

Nothing has ever failed economically like Communism.

Greater cooperation among individuals does lead to economic success, hence the free market.

Happiness in Communist society is typically found in a bottle.

You can get answers here on FR, but you won’t be convinced of truth until you read the Bible, study history, and come to conclusions by sound thinking.

I only give you this input because I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt thinking you are being honest with your questions. It seems more likely to me you are just trolling for FR handles of any people who are anti-liberal/communist/progressive/or whatever you want to call it.

Actually, that should read, “This is a theft of money stolen from the taxpayer.”

Watched the show once, thought they were idiots. I’ve known junior high school science students who could do a better job of it.

Wow. An intelligent post about a current issue. Maybe there’s hope for Free Republic after all. I was afraid too many people who could read about, use reason, and express issues rationally were gone until I saw this post. And to be clear, this is not sarcasm.

Would love to see Zero and Frenchie together go against Bibi by himself in the ring. Could sell a lot of tickets to that one.

Deace and Cain both profess to be Christians. The Bible shows how such situations should be handled, and Deace isn’t handling it in a Christian way. For crying out loud, even if they weren’t Christians, a real man would deal with another man personally and privately if a female associate was offended. Man up (in the do the right thing sense), Deacebag.

As a Boomer I have to apologize to you in Generation Y who have it so bad because of my generation.

I apologize for not kicking your butt when you whined, showed disrespect to elders and women, flipped the bird at those who sacrificed everything for your freedom, and told God to shove it.

As for this article, I still believe there is hope for our world. I see it in many of your generation Y peers who are choosing to fight for freedom, faith, and family. To all you of Generation Y who are striving for a better world, and despite the pessimism of the day there are many, I applaud you and wish you God speed. And I thank God for your parents, who did kick your butts when they had to, or otherwise did something right in raising you despite the fact they may have been evil capitalist God fearing Boomers.

Optimism wins, pessimism destroys. Take your pick. Just quit whining.

Would loved to have had a chat with the woman following us down the street yelling at us, “Shame on you, shame on you.” But she wasn’t interested in a two way conversation, and as soon as she saw us start to speak she would just yell over us. My wife was almost in tears feeling sorry for her. Would like these folks to know Jesus took our shame and paid for it all, and that’s available to them also.

Mayor Sam Adams, on the other hand, did show up at a previous meeting to let local churches know what was needed in praying for Portland. I’d bet these protestors would be ashamed of him for talking to the church.

Portlanders will be happy if they just put a bird on it.

Is Pat married? If so maybe his wife should be filing on grounds of him not being there anymore.

Two mornings in recent history I’ll never forget:

1- 9/11 when I woke up to a TV news screen of smoke coming from the first tower.

2- The morning I logged on to Freerepublic and virtually every post for several pages was about Sarah Palin being picked as John McCain’s running mate. I wish I had saved a shot, because I can’t seem to find it on the internet archive time machine.

Both events have had immense consequences. If and when Sarah jumps in, it will be interesting to see a repeat of all Sarah posts on Free Republic.
