A Pennsylvania couple is behind bars after allegedly forcing their 7-year-old son to sleep inside a locked coffin and often punishing him by placing him in their bug-infested, nearly pitch-black basement after warning him about ghosts, The Times-Tribune reported. Scranton police, after being alerted by neighbors about the crying child, found the boy in the basement of the condemned home, the paper reported. He was visibly upset and was dressed in a school shirt and diaper, police said. The couple turned themselves in Tuesday afternoon. It's not clear if they have an attorney. The mother, Lori Gardner, 26, and stepfather,...

DALLAS – A Dallas man accused of drowning his two young sons Monday after abducting them while they were walking to school with their mother was being held on capital murder charges, authorities said. Naim Muhammad, 32, was held on $2 million bond Monday evening in Dallas County Jail on two counts of capital murder. Online jail records didn't indicate if he has an attorney. Police identified the boys as 5-year-old Naim and 3-year-old Elijah. They have their father's last name, but police have spelled it differently than court and jail records. A police report said the 32-year-old Muhammad forced...

H2O: Dangerous Chemical! A student at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair, April 26. He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become to alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment. In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for plenty of good reasons, since: it can cause excessive sweating and vomiting it is a major component in acid rain it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state accidental inhalation can...

Guns are deeply rooted within Swiss culture - but the gun crime rate is so low that statistics are not even kept. The country has a population of six million, but there are estimated to be at least two million publicly-owned firearms, including about 600,000 automatic rifles and 500,000 pistols.

NAIROBI, Kenya – The small gang of Somali pirates fired on an approaching ship, hoping their midnight attack would bring them millions in ransom. The ragtag bandits, though, had taken on far more than they could handle: a U.S. warship. The USS Nicholas, a guided missile frigate, was tracking the pirates when they opened fire early Thursday in Indian Ocean waters, the U.S. military said. The Nicholas, which saw combat in the first Gulf War, returned fire and disabled the skiff. Navy personnel later boarded and detained three suspects. The Americans found two more bandits on a nearby mothership and...

I guess Obama thinks they are "acting stupidly" too. Maybe he should invite them to the White House for a beer. You have to hate it when your words come back to bite you in the rear....

We had 1000 people there. I love the way the organizers got everyone to sign up and wear a tag to prove how many showed up. They are also sending each of those tags (with names and addresses on them) to CNN so they can see how many showed up. We got a 3 for 1 that day. We marched past CNN shouting "CNN: Tell the Truth", we marched past the Federal Reserve shouting, "Stop Printing Money", and Past the AJC shouting, "Dinosaur Death Watch." Unfortunately I missed the Patriot Guard on their Harley's. It was a good day though.

(Oct. 12) -- A British inquest heard testimony last week into the death of an Iraq war veteran who died after getting cancerous lungs in a transplant. Matthew Millington, 31, needed the transplant because of the terminal respiratory condition he was diagnosed with in 2006. But the person the organs came from smoked 30 to 50 rolled cigarettes a day, reported the Times of London. Millington received the double lung transplant in April 2007. A cancerous tumor was found six months later, and the soldier died in February 2008. Because he was a cancer patient, he was not eligible to...

BALTIMORE (Sept. 15) - A Johns Hopkins University student armed with a samurai sword killed a suspected burglar in a garage behind his off-campus home early Tuesday, hours after someone broke in and stole electronics. Some shocked neighbors said they heard bloodcurdling screams in an area just blocks from the university. Police held the student, a junior chemistry major who turns 21 on Sunday, for several hours, but he was not charged with any crimes Tuesday, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. Around 1:20 a.m., the student heard noises behind the home and noticed a door to the garage was open,...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 31) - A judge ruled Monday that prosecutors withheld evidence in the trial of an ex-high school football coach charged with reckless homicide in the death of one of his players. The ruling came on the opening day of jury selection in David Jason Stinson's trial. The former Pleasure Ridge Park coach is also charged with wanton endangerment in the death of 15-year-old offensive lineman Max Gilpin, who collapsed during practice while running in 94-degree heat last August. Gilpin died three days later

I know it has been posted here before by ME. It appeared on AOL this morning and I just couldn't resist. This dog is smarter than many of our citizens. You just don't get anything for free. When the Government offers you a "treat" RUN.

Excuse the vanity but you guys MUST hear this. As you know if you have read any of my posts, I use to be an attorney. Well, my friendly local police department just made a HUGE MISTAKE and I can assure you they will pay for it. I post it here, not for sympathy but to show just how eroded our rights have become.
