I have long felt that crimes of this sort should be punished not only by death(in capital punishment cases) but by some additional punishment in addition to a jail sentence (or more) so as to dis-incentivise some other person from committing a similar crime.

Not knowing all the details, but I should think an outdoor speaking event would be much chaper & easier to organize than a big indoor event. I had supposed that was the reason they were done.

As a vet & retiree living on SS (had no employer-provided retirement fund) I look at it this way: I get by OK with my SS, but no high living or new cars for sure. Some folks will fare much better in their years of employment partly because of better pay & an employer-provided retirement plan than I do, so their SS could be downgraded a bit without hurting them. Also, I do receive some VA benefits,but I didn’t make anything close to decent pay in my military years. The VA benefits now help to make up for that & are greatly appreciated in my senior yrs. or else I would be a long ways up the creek without them. For those without a workable retirement plan & no VA benefits; well, they would seem to be between a rock & a hard place.

What I read so far makes me even less inclined to own a Tesla(or other EV) than usual. And I have never felt inclined to own one.

It seems very hard to get the law & justice system to weigh in to any extent on this & even if they do, how long will it take to get any real action on it done? Minds & attitudes need to be changed, but how do you do that when so many are stuck on stupid? And I see that as why Charlie was shot.

He killed 3 people as I understand. All in all, I would think many people must be wondering why he did not get the death sentence. Those who gave him the CDL need to be prosecuted, too.

The world will end when God decides it is time. I don’t know when that is, so my answer to that question is as good as anyone elses.

Makes me wonder just why I would need AI as I can make mistakes just as easily on my own.

Sounds like real justice is just winked at in that county. If I am ever hauled into court for anything, can request I change of venue to that county & that judge even if I live a long way from there?

Any place that doesn’t report illegals are just cutting every American’s throat. Maybe all those should be deported to India. Probably wouldn’t be noticed there.

I hope they increase the charges against this clown who apparently thinks he is special. If he wants to drive that way in India, then that’s on their dime. He need not do it here & expect to get away with it.

I guess I’ve never understood why anyone thinks Ohio is mid-west. Look at a map sometime. Maybe the thinking is that the Pilgrims just landed on the eastern shores. At that time, I guess Ohio would be the Midwest.
