  • How-to Gay Sex Taught at Texas A&M?

How much is too much when it comes to sex education on college campuses? A controversial video now has conservative groups taking aim at Texas A&M officials. The extremely graphic video posted online by the group Texas Aggie Conservatives shows a sex therapist using pictures and videos to teach gays and lesbians how to safely engage in certain activities. Student Justin Pulliam says how-to sex lessons for gays have no place on his college campus. "Most people at the university do not agree with having casual sex, or homosexual sex, or having sex outside of marriage," he says. "That the...

LAS VEGAS - Caught on camera, a mob of young people bombarded the City Stop convenience store on Sunset Road and Pecos Road and stole $600 in merchandise. "It became a feeding frenzy," said City Stop owner Jon Athey. "They were in the store for three minutes and 30 seconds… It's a pretty scary thing." Athey says the crowd darted in and snatched numerous items from the store. "Beer to jerky to candy bars to soda, whatever hit their fancy… potato chips," he said. Athey says this tactic is known as a "swarm". After 42 years in the convenience store...
  • Gave up cable TV -- now what?

I gave up cable TV a few days ago. I watched perhaps five or six channels, at most, and it just wasn't worth the money. Now, I have no TV at all since my set is pre-digital and I don't have an antenna. What now? Do I have to get a special antenna? I would like to have at least broadcast TV if only for sports.

I just read on another message board that if you order a pizza form Papa John's website and use the promo code "EW50" you will get 50% off your order. This seems to be working for some people but not others, so just a FYI for anybody who wants to try it.
  • Failure of Diplomacy: Lessons can be learned from Guevara example

Had Guevara not been executed by Bolivian soldiers in 1967 at the age of 38, how much more would he have affected the world? Though his ability to spark international incidents would have undoubtedly led to more tension throughout the Cold War, we have no idea how much he might have impacted Third World countries. If he were alive, he would have likely helped better the HIV situation in Africa because of his desire to give medical help to those who can't afford it. Unfortunately, we will never be able to know for sure. While thought provoking, an even more...

This is a version of special effects during the 1940's. I have never seen these pictures or knew that we had gone this far to protect ourselves. During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a possible Japanese air attack. They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

In today's fractured music industry, Billboard's venerable Hot 100 singles chart seems a bit dated. And last week, when the magazine celebrated its 1,000th Hot #1 single (Lady Gaga's "Born this Way") there seemed to be little point in perusing through the comprehensive list of all the chart-topping songs since the 50's. Thanks to the internet, now we have a reason to scroll through all 1000 #1's. Why? Well, we can listen to almost every one of them as a five second clip, arranged chronologically. Via a Sound Cloud user with a penchant for radio hits, sample how the music...
  • Justin Bieber Slams Evil America

Justin Bieber slams America claiming we are “evil” in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Justin Bieber has just stepped in front of a firing squad with his recent comment in Rolling Stone Magazine. In the interview, Bieber is asked if he will ever become an American citizen (he’s Canadian) and states that we (Americans) are EVIL. Bieber digs the ditch even deeper when he says “Canada is the best country in the world.” I feel like writing Obama a letter asking to deport Bieber’s anti-American ass. I just covered Justin Bieber last week and said praised him for being...

Here's an update for all those who were fascinated yesterday by the story of how my laptop crashed and my frantically desperate attempts to revive it -- you can read the whole sordid story here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2610874/posts With Windows not rebooting, System Repair's refusal to repair the system, futile stabs at reaching system restore or re-imaging (even through command prompt), I finally was able to reach the BIOS panel and set my PC to start on CD first. I was mostly unprepared for a crash, but thank goodness I had at least burned Recovery DVDs. I loaded them and was able...

My laptop has crashed. My PC froze while a flashdrive was connected to it. I tried to restart it but could not even reboot, not even in safe mode. My problem is almost exactly the same as the one described on this page: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/94457-windows-unable-start-startup-repair-system-restore-wont-work.html Unfortunately, that page does not give a solution. It's an Asus K60 Laptop, Windows 7. Startup Repair doesn't work, it will not let me do a system restore and I don't know which file to choose in a re-imaging (see article). PLEASE help!!

  • Denver Cops Again - beat a man, news story and raw video of the incident

What started as a walk to the park with his dogs ended with a trip to the hospital for a Denver dog owner. 32-year-old Mark Ashford says he was beaten black and blue by two Denver Police officers. "They punched him and pinned him up against the fence and forced his head into the concrete." Ashford's attorney, Will Hart, said the beating that was caught on camera is a clear case of Excessive More..Force. "This happened when he was walking his dogs, he has a conversation with another citizen that the police officer doesn't like and as a result, he...
