Here is a link to a video made earlier today by the Spokesman of the IDF -- Israel Defense Force -- as he walked through a hospital that was taken under control by IDF forces today. It's just under 7 minutes. It shows that what Israel has been saying for years, and what Hamas has been denying, is true: Hamas used this hospital as a military facility. https://videoidf.azureedge.net/6cb5b1f7-6223-4917-bfe5-a2cb77c9e80d

Several schools in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood of Los Angeles were locked down Tuesday morning after police received reports of a man wearing tactical gear in the area. Authorities told Eyewitness News this incident was not an active shooter situation. There were only reports of a man on a scooter wearing some sort of tactical gear, but he was not armed.

The Chief Rabbi of the Israel Police penned an open letter on Tuesday addressed to rabbis throughout Israel urging them to advise their congregants to carry legal and licensed firearms on Shabbat. In his letter, Rabbi Rami Brachyahu said that this measure was necessary in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Neve Yaakov in which seven people were murdered outside of a synagogue where most did not carry arms because of the Shabbat.. “We are learning that the religious neighborhoods and synagogues can serve as an extensive target for terrorist acts,” he wrote. “This...

(January 11, 2023 / JNS) The Israeli left has taken a page from the book of its American friends and denounced as “anti-democratic” the platform of their political adversaries. As in the U.S., the steps proposed by the right are attacked as full-on fascism. Nowhere is this more the case than regarding the proposal to alter the Israeli Supreme Court’s jurisdiction and method of choosing justices. And nowhere could the hysteria be more ridiculous. Israel has a unicameral legislature and no written constitution. Such a government structure is hardly unique, and in fact, the country that gave birth to the...

I voted for Trump twice, and I’m a lawyer and I played a small role in his challenge to the results. My question for this board is: why shouldn’t we pick a winner? Trump lost. He lost the election and he lost, pathetically, in the post-election challenges. He lost those legal challenges before Trump-appointed judges as well Bush appointees, Obama appointees, and Clinton appointees. He’s persuaded 40-something percent of the country but not matter what he does, he cannot – can not – persuade more people. He has not done so and will not do so. It may suck, but...

So many people who are posting actively on Ukraine argue as follows: 1. We all hate George Soros, Justin Trudeau and Klaus Schwab. 2. All of those people and many others whom we also despise support Zelensky and the Ukraine and oppose Putin. 3. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. 4. Therefore we should not oppose Putin’s actions in Ukraine and 5. Anyone who does oppose Putin is a neo-con fool who wants to send other people’s sons into a pointless and bloody war in Eastern Europe to a. Distract from other evil scheme they are carrying out...

When “the left” becomes the party of wealthy elites and state security agencies who preach racial division, state censorship, contempt for ordinary citizens and for the U.S. Constitution, and telling people what to do and think at every turn, then that’s the side you are on, if you are “on the left”—those are the policies and beliefs you stand for and have to defend. It doesn’t matter what good people “on the left” believed and did 60 or 70 years ago. Those people are dead now, mostly. They don’t define “the left” anymore than Abraham Lincoln defines the modern-day Republican...

The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.

[My translation- JA] Media in Iran have reported this evening (Tuesday) on an explosion and fire on a ship of the Iranian Navy, the Harj. The ship, which serves as a forward base for special forces, attack ships and the launch of drones, went up in flames in the Gulf of Oman. According to reports in Iranian media, the ship returned to an unidentified port, where local forces worked to extinguish the fire. They further reported that there were no injuries in the incident. In Iran they have denied reports on social networks that the Harj was making its way...

Ichilov Hospital announced that the daughter of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza and deputy head of the organization's political bureau, had been treated at the medical center. The hospital said that she "is one in more than a thousand patients from Gaza and the territories, children and adults, who come for treatment every year at Ichilov Hospital."

To anyone not living or hiding under a rock, the culture war rages all too loudly and visibly around us. In that war, some fight mightily to destroy the moral and intellectual capital amassed since Western civilization officially began in the late afternoon on the 14th of Nissan 3,000 years ago, when the Jews began preparations to leave Egypt. It often seems difficult to know how to oppose the many-headed hydra of political correctness and its hostility to family, tradition, objectivity and God. On what field of battle can we even find the enemy to confront them? And with what...

The most important reason that changing the roster of states would probably not affect politics that much is that our states and congressional districts are mostly “rotten boroughs,” to use the old British parliamentary phrase. In theory senators represent the citizens of their states and members of the House represent the people of their congressional districts. In practice they represent individual and corporate donors and political allies and future employers, who may live anywhere in the United States—or in some cases abroad. Joe Biden was the senator from the credit card industry, based in Delaware. The donors to American politicians...

At issue was President Trump’s request for an order changing the way Pennsylvania absentee and mail-in ballots are being reviewed at the Philadelphia Convention Center. Legacy media are lying when they claim that all of President Trump’s allegations of voter fraud are baseless. I know, because I argued a case on the president’s behalf in federal court in Philadelphia. At issue was President Trump’s request for an order changing the way Pennsylvania absentee and mail-in ballots are being reviewed at the Philadelphia Convention Center. CNN and others claim he “lost.” That’s false: he won. As I made that argument on...

With the US presidential election just days away, incumbent President Donald Trump has many ardent, fervent and zealous supporters, most prominent among them Christian Evangelicals and working-class whites, who he is hoping will sweep him to victory. But another group which, although a good deal smaller, is also passionate and outspoken in its support for Trump is Orthodox Jews, both ultra-Orthodox (haredi) as well as substantial segments of the modern-Orthodox community.

the officers did announce themselves before busting down the door of the apartment occupied by Taylor and her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker. Cameron said Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified under Kentucky law in their use of force after being fired upon by Walker and his office will not pursue criminal charges against them.

My very limited technical skills don't enable me to insert here the photo appearing at the URL linked above. The page is a photo of several dozen observant Jews praying the afternoon service on the White House lawn this afternoon after the signing of the Abraham Accords at the White House. If people were rational (I realize that's a mighty big "if") such images would be more than enough to prove that President Trump is not in any way an anti-Semite, and that the accusation that he is comes from a very dark and false place in the minds of...

The Michael Flynn case has opened a new front in the woke war on objectivity: Within the federal judiciary, we now have judges taking sides in the cases before them. It’s a development directly at war with the political philosophy that animates our Constitution. It would, if left unchecked, destroy the neutrality of the federal courts. If that were to go, the judiciary’s legitimacy and public respect for its dictates would be destroyed. Now, [Judge] Sullivan has doubled down on his insistence that he need not be neutral: He has, as if he were a party to the case, filed...
