    There are at least 10 threads covering the speech and the fallout, so no need to discuss that. Instead, the fact that the most "Christian" candidate this year ends up being the most hateful, spiteful and selfish *sshole around is a good thing to discuss. How do his supporters justify the disconnect between his beliefs and behavior?

    I see a big pitfall here. Lots of people say that Newt will destroy Obama in the presidential debates, but if he doesn't, yet wins on the points of the debate, Obama will win because Newt didn't destroy him. Debating skills do not a president make. I liked Newt better when his message was positive and optimistic - aka Reaganesque. That said, he is the best candidate in the field.
