How long before they try to criminalize the Bush Administration?

Posted on 11/06/2008 5:44:24 AM PST by jimbo807

As we have seen, the far left has taken over the Democrat party and has wanted to arrest Cheney and Bush for a long time. Do you think that the incoming democrat controlled congress will actually try to do what the far left wants them to do - criminalize the Bush administration? What do you think the reaction of the American public will be to this if they do?

I do think they will try to investigate and press charges. Obama’s Presidency is about retribution.

The Massachusetts congressional delegation has already said they plan to try before Congress the Bush Administration for war crimes. They plan to bring Bush before them and send him to prison. That’ll be something.

I think they would be foolish to try.

Rham Emanuel and Axelrod are too smart to allow Obama to go that route.

Obama needs to be impeached and charged with war crimes...Of course like the moonbats for the past 8 years, I don't have any specifics either. This ODS could be fun.

As soon as Obama needs to blame someone for not being able to keep his promises.

I’d say roughly around 3:00 pm EST on 1/20/09 give or take a few hours.

Well right off the bat - Bush should pardon everyone in his administration and then resign before Christmas - Then President Cheney pardons Bush.

That’s the ticket!

I don’t think they will be able to help themselves.

I remember well Clinton’s gays in the military play right after being sworn in. The left is nothing if not retardedly persistent.

It will be fun to watch them try to do all the crazy things they have been ranting about for so long. As unpopular as Bush is with the general public, I don’t think sending him to prison will be what the country wants.

The left will go down in flames if they try it.

What, you mean like when he gave immunity to an Illegal Mexican drug pusher so he could put border agents in jail for 10 and 11 years to make an example of them so other border agents would stop enforcing the law? Or is it something else? Either way, he’s a criminal.

Funny thing. This thought occurred to me just yesterday as well —with the only difference being that they will try to execute him in spite of their opposition to the death penalty.

All I can say is if they do, I think civil war is the likely outcome. Such an effort would be an outright burning of the Constitution and its separation of powers.

Yeah, but it will play out like this... GWB or Cheyney will be arrested while traveling overseas, and it will be up to Pres. Obama to intervene. Imagine the debate that crisis would spark?

Incidentally, so whackos over in Britain attempted a citizens-arrest of John Bolton last summer. Various European parlimentarians have debated official arrests of Bush Administration officials. So it is not beyond the realm of possibility.

No ... they’ll decide to hand Bush and Cheney over to the Islamofacists and let THEM behead ‘em for “crimes against Mohammed.” It will be an attempt to end the hostility between the terrorists and us ... for, as we all know, it’s all “Bush’s Fault.”
