Thank you. I think every country club Republican should be forced to memorize that list --- those types who put their cheaper lawn & nanny care before American citizens, legal immigrants, national security, and true conservative principles.

Decades ago, both parties used to be fairly conservative in most respects --- both could at least agree to be against ILLEGAL immigration.

Is there a conservative party in America today? I fear not.

So many folks are worried about "pissing off the Muslims". They wring their hands trying to figure out "why the Muslims hate us". "What about the 'Arab street'?"

A waste of time. As the most riot-prone religionists on the face of this planet, Muslims, or at least a fairly large percentage of them, have and always will find a reason to be pissed off, no matter what the non-Muslims do or don't do.

If it's not headscarf bans or Danish cartoons, they just consult the Koran --- which is chock full of calls to kill, abuse, & oppress the infidels. (Don't even bother mentioning the Bible or other religious texts. The Koran makes even the worst aspects of the Old Testament look like a love sonnet by comparison.)

To quote the British novelist & historian H.G. Wells: "[Mohammad] seems to have been a man compounded of very considerable vanity, greed, cunning, self-deception, and quite sincere religious passion. He dictated a book of injunctions and expositions, the Koran, which he declared was communicated to him from God. Regarded as literature or philosophy the Koran is certainly unworthy of its alleged Divine authorship."

Most Americans embrace British cultural influence. As we should. (Shakespeare? Agatha Christie? The Beatles? Dr. Who? And, lest we forget, Benny Hill?)

Yes, yes --- there is much crappy American pop culture, which I hope foreigners could ignore, and which makes me cringe when I encoutner it overseas.

But no one forces Britons to eat crappy McDonald's food or listen to the crappy pop & hip-hop music emanating from the sewers of the entertainment world.

Besides, it wasn't Americans who blew up London train stations. It was...(drumroll) Muslims!!! (You may recall them as those who would LOVE to force you to recite Koranic verses, follow their Medieval dress codes, and chop off head should you refuse to bow down to Allah.)

It's a shame. Not to romanticize (old) New Orleans, but I understand it used to be a much better place to live years ago --- at least the crime rate hadn't yet reached the disgracefully high levels of the 1980s to the present.

You're absolutely right about the working class being the main victims of the people who don't care to work. In San Francisco, for example, there are plenty of limousine liberals who are insulated from the effects of their own stupid policies. The rich left-leaning Democrats in Pacific Heights don't have to rub shoulders with the vagrants and the drug dealers downtown, unlike the average working guy who has to ride the bus.

There could be an opportunity for real change in N.O. (i.e. bring law-and-order to the place), and clean up more than just the debris left over from Katrina, but I'm skeptical. Especially if the incompetent Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin retains his post.

The thugs are back already? Has the Louisiana state guard left already? Perhaps they need to construct a base there on the remains of the Lower Ninth Ward, and stay awhile.

I have many friends from Japan, where street crime is practically nonexistent. They can't believe there are huge sections of our major cities that look like Somalia. (I assured them that not all of America is as dangerous as most of Detroit. Not really.)

I always wanted to visit New Orleans, but I try to avoid spending vacation money in places I'm likely to be mugged --- like Washington, D.C., South Africa...or Paris, France.

It's a sad fact that U.S. cities dominated by black politicians will always suffer from high crime. It's because the vast majority of black Americans have been bamboozled by the Democrats into trusting collectivism as their only saviour. Communities conditioned to be heavily dependent on the government (i.e. the socialist-welfare state) inevitably descend into chronic poverty and crime.

(Crime in socialist countries is only low if the place is a total police state like the Soviet Union. Then you only have the low quality of life --- and the possibility of being sent to a forced labor camp.)

If New Orleans elects another liberal Democrat mayor, you can expect them to ignore crime, waste money on feel-good "solutions", then blame the whole mess on President Bush...again.

No joke. If nothing else, the U.K. should...

    1. Freeze all immigration, esp. from Muslim countries.

    2. Immediately deport all radical Muslim loudmouths, esp. the ones calling for the destruction of the U.K. It's unbelievable that this hasn't happened already.

    3. Repeal those idiotic gun control laws, the ones which have only served to promote crime, and allow Britons to exercise their natural right of self-defense against muggers, thieves, killers and rapists.

This would be a good start. Most definitely.

It will be most useful for us to bomb the hell out of all of Iran's nuclear facilities. Iran wants nukes. Period. No amount of talking or sanctions is going to prevent that.

Especially with that total lunatic as their president.

Let Iran threaten us. They're already causing trouble in Iraq as it is --- the alternative, allowing Iran to go nuclear, is far worse.

Unlikely as it is, I hope and pray that the majority of Britons vote for the BNP. Both the Conservative and Labour parties have allowed the U.K. to decline as a result of socialism, multiculturalism, idiotic gun control laws, coddling criminals, and tolerance of radical Islamists in their midst. Britain is doomed until its people wake up. Otherwise, welcome to Londonistan.

    Remember the Wichita Massacre?

A notorious crime a few years back (virtually ignored, naturally, by the mainstream media) where two armed black men invaded a home, attacked the occupants (young white people), forced them to perform sex acts, raped the girls, took them all out to a field in the middle of the night, shot them execution-style, and then ran them over with a truck for good measure.

(More reasons for all law-abiding people to own firearms.)

The killers are serving life in prison for their disgusting crimes, but avoided hate crime prosecution because...because...uh...black men never commit hate crimes, right? Black people are never racist, right?

Actually, what really got me angry was the virtual media blackout on this incident in Wichita, not the lack of hate crime prosecution. I guess white people getting killed by blacks just isn't news, at least in the eyes of guilty white liberal journalists.

I believe the whole idea of "hate crimes" is stupid --- a crime is a crime, regardless of the criminal's racial views. "Hate crimes" were invented to hi-light white criminal/black victim crime --- not the far, far more prevalent black criminal/white victim crimes.

Bill Cosby got it right. Too much contemporary Black American culture, esp. in a lot of music, celebrates criminals, thuggery, and racism against whites. Years ago it was blues, jazz, and Motown. Now it's a death culture. And the new music really sucks...

Thanks a lot --- for pointing out the excellent website "Prophet of Doom" - by Craig Winn.

One of the most damaging effects of political correctness & multiculturalism is the refusal by many people, including President Bush, to name the enemy of reason, democracy and individual rights --- Islam.

It's as if the Allies went through WWII without ever once mentioning the Nazis or the Fascists of Italy & Japan. Or the Cold War without saying the word "communism". Absolutely ridiculous.

I will definitely recommend "Prophet of Doom" to others.

The People's Socialist Democracy of San Francisco forges on! The application of Marxist-Leninist principles to city government has resulted in:

    1. Vagrants everywhere! The streets are filled with drunken bums, crackheads, junkies. Not just in the Tenderloin, either. Everywhere...except Dianne Feinstein's front yard.

    2. One of the least efficient public transport systems in North America. Go Muni...maybe...

    3. A flagrant disregard for the Second Amendment, and for the average citizen's natural right of self-defense. Says Communist S.F. supervisor Chris Daly: "If I'm in trouble, I'll just call the police." The socialist mentality hard at work.

Ever read George Orwell's classic novel "1984"? San Francisco today more closely resembles Anthony Burgess's "1985" --- a nightmare socialist England where labor unions control all, mosques outnumber churches --- and borders, language and tradition mean nothing.

Immediately. No point in prolonging the inevitable.

Out of 6 billion people in the world, 1 billion are Muslims. Apparently a large percentage of that 1 billion are crazy enough to think they can dominate the rest of us and return their "golden age" of Islam Empire, and would love to use nuclear weapons on us.

Let's say it's only 10 percent crazies out of 1 billion Muslims (though I fear it's much more). That's still a lot of Islamofascists with a thirst for fission.

These folks are crazier than the Nazis or Fascist Japan.

Such crazy people must NEVER be permitted to get their hands on nukes --- which they are desperately working to do.

I agree --- By the way, G.K. Chesterton, the Catholic conservative writer, advocated a form of capitalism called "distributism". This philosophy encouraged individuals to have their own small businesses, and groups to form co-operatives. Distributism was never intended as a system to be administered from the top (ala socialism or communism), but rather as a voluntary movement, from the bottom.

As Chesterton wrote: "The problem with capitalism is not too many capitalists, but too few captialists."

The opportunity to invest our own money as we choose might go a long way toward Chesterton's ideal of increasing the number of captialists.

I would much rather have the choice to invest my money, than be forced into the social security program.

Wasn't Pol Pot's Khymer Rouge government, with over a million dead Cambodians, yet another great socialist "alternative"? I guess the wrong people were in charge.

The Soviet Union under Stalin? Why --- that was really "state captialism"! (Whatever the hell that means...)

Whenever you point out the failure and mass murder of socialism, you hear the same tired rebuttals:

Isn't wasn't "true" Communism. (Well, what is then?)

Under democratic socialism, workers would control all the farms and factories. (Where has this ever happened without government control, bureaucracy & the inevitable police state?)

Why, look at how great life in Sweden is! (It's so great they've got the highest suicide rate worldwide. Sweden's always been a mixture of capitalism & socialism, anyway, and the welfare state is crumbling. Sweden's main advantage is that they were smart enough not to import an immigrant workforce from Muslim North Africa --- unlike those brilliant socialists in France, who are now munching on wine & cheese while Paris burns.)

It's pointless to argue with left-wing intellectuals. If 100 million dead under various socialist regimes wasn't enough to convince them they're wrong --- nothing ever will. Unfortunately these are the same types who are comfortably ensconced in some many of our college faculties --- safely cushioned from the real world effect of their evil ideology.

Thank you. I hope little hope for the "modernizing" or "moderation" of Islam, unless by some miracle millions of Middle Easterners began to copy the secularist Turks. I visited Istanbul about six years ago, admittedly the most secular area in Turkey. The attitude of many Turkish people I met towards Islam was similar to the attitude most Japanese have towards Shinto --- religion as purely spiritual and cultural --- not political and militarist.

Unfortunately, most Japanese arrived as this attitude after atomic bombs fell on Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

It's not "all Muslims" who are bad --- it's the very core of Islam itself.

Hitler, Jim Jones, the Puritan theocracy and others who abused and distorted Christianity to advance their own goals were not acting in accordance with the teachings of Christ.

Osama bin Laden is not an extremist Muslim --- he IS acting in accordance with the central beliefs of Islam as expressed in the Koran. Compare the Koran to any other religious text --- the Bible, the Torah, the Tao Te Ching, or Hindu and Buddhist scriptures.

I would be very surprised if you did not discover that the words of the Koran far surpass any of the others in terms of intolerance and advocacy of violence & oppression against non-Muslims. (Reading the Koran makes the worst parts of the Old Testament seem like...the New Testament.)

(By the way, Nazism had a lot more to do with Hitler's own fascination with the occult than with any form of Christianity. There are several good books on the subject you might care to check out --- revealing Hitler's true attitudes towards Catholicism and Protestantism, his adoption of the swastika as the emblem of his movement --- the guy was obsessed with the occult and black magic theory.)

I'm well aware of the violence that's been committed in the name of Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism and other faiths throught history. As I mentioned in my previous post, my main concern regarding Islam is its closer resemblance to a (nightmare) utopian ideology (along the lines of Nazism or Communism) than a religion.

And Bush really needs to stop using that "religion of peace" line.
