If only the Founders were as smart and trustworthy as today’s politicians, then we wouldn’t have all the problems we see nowadays.” No, that’s not a talking point from anti-gun nanny staters like BILLIONAIRE anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg or even President Obama. I’m afraid it’s pure snake oil being peddled by professional “conservative” charlatans -- with help from a handful of political celebrities who should know better -- demanding a state-initiated Article V Constitutional Convention. I’ve ignored the Constitutional Convention con (more aptly named "Con-Con") job until now -- hoping and praying it would just fall flat before it gained...

FREEP Needed - a FREEP is needed here to protest amnesty. Lewis Leftist Gutierrez is coming to Florida to raise hell. He is an Illinois "representative" so who is funding his travels? This center has been in the news previously. It was on the lists of places that were accepting illegal "children". It is my understanding that the center coaches and assists illegals in the navigation of obtaining government handouts. Gutierrez is listed as a valuable supporter.

WHAT ARE YOU PROTESTING FOR? I recently became active in the Overpass Protests that are springing up all over our country. I have been amazed at the outpouring of support from passersby but also dismayed by the fact that even after every...thing that’s happened, most people still seem disengaged. Today, at our Overpass Rally, I was rendered nearly speechless, when a car with several women stopped to ask questions. The car stopped on top of the overpass, blocking traffic and a very elegant black woman opened her door and turned in her seat. I thought she was getting out of...

YBOR CITY - Officially recognized by the Hillsborough County Commission for the first time, this year's GaYbor Days events continue Sunday in Ybor City. GaYBOR Days, a weekend packed with shows and events to promote gay-owned and gay-friendly businesses in Tampa, is hosted every year by the GaYBOR Coalition. The coalition is made up of almost 300 businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area, said Carrie West, the group's president. The weekend is meant to promote the Ybor City area, showcase businesses and show that Tampa is a good destination for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. “We're doing very good,”...

PRIME Minister Julia Gillard needs to step in and work with the states to ban semi-automatic handguns in response to Sydney's plague of drive-by shootings, a gun control group says. ******* Ms Lee said it was "crazy" that semi-automatic handguns were legal while semi-automatic longarms are banned. "It's an anomaly in the laws that really needs to be addressed," she said.

Finally, there seems to be growing concern about vote fraud. Over the last couple of months I have attended meetings about vote fraud and have become more alarmed that it may extend beyond our borders. http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-national/nov-2012-vote-tabulation-raising-concerns http://patriotupdate.com/articles/what-is-scytl-why-should-you-be-very-very-concernedOrganizations like: True the Vote (http://www.truethevote.org/) and The King Street Patriots among others, have been reaching out to teach us what they have learned. Based on some of that information, and a suggestion in an email from The King Street Patriots, I decided to help some of my friends and family participate easily because many people are good at forwarding emails, but do not...

Raymond Foley is a victim.Sure, in past eras far less enlightened and tolerant as this current gilded age, Foley might be considered a menace to society—a creep even. But we know better now. We know people just can’t control their urges, and to demand otherwise is a Neanderthal concept right out of the stone (tablet) age. Foley was born with something that compels him to act out in ways some segments of our society still clinging to their guns and religion condemn. But what Foley doesn’t need is judgment. Foley needs understanding. Foley, 59, was recently charged with second degree...

A federal judge’s ruling has forced the Obama administration to drop its harassment of a Colorado-based pro-life advocate who provides abortion alternatives to women outside Denver abortion facilities. As LifeNews reported in January, pro-life attorneys were successful in getting a judge to stop an attempt by the Obama administration to silence a pro-life activist who, for years, has been helping women outside abortion centers find positive alternatives. Thomas More Society attorneys defeated a request by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder for a preliminary injunction against longtime Denver area pro-life activist Ken Scott. After a full-day hearing, U.S. District Judge...

Just about a week ago, we were given a video exposing a major breach on the U.S./Mexico border near Lukeville, Ariz. located about 100 miles southwest of Tucson. We checked its authenticity with our sources at the Department of Homeland Security who have confirmed that the video is real and was taken recently. Watch this distressing video that was first posted by Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever and see how, despite claims by the Administration, the border is far from secure.

I am trying to help my son, an Army vet, make a choice between going to school in Denver versus Alamosa, Colorado. He has lived a couple of months in both places and is under the impression Adams College is conservative, so maybe leaning in that direction. We realize there are vast differences between these two places, but I thought it would be helpful to get FR comments.
