Hi all.... FReepers have been very helpful in the past and I wanted to touch base to see if you could help again. Our city council is debating putting Sunday alcohol sales on the ballot, yet again. The matter has been defeated twice in the past few years, but they are considering the referendum again. While I am a believer of seperation of church and state, I also believe in keeping the Sabbath holy....can this be reconciled? I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments on any experience any of you have had with this issue... Georgia Dawg

I'd reprint it, but it is the usual ramblings about Moore's "right to dissent" and question our government, especially Bush's reasons for taking us to war in Iraq." I need to respond to an argument from a Kerry supporter that claims "all programs that have bettered society have been Democratic sponsored (ie TVA, civil rights, FHA mortgage, VA loans, etc). They are also doing the old "Republican tax cuts for the rich" (tax cuts for the upper 1%)whine. Can my FReeper friends help give me some ammo with some rebuttals and specific Republican sponsored domestic agenda items? I can fight it pretty well on the war on terror.
