The author of “The Harbinger,” the inspiration behind the “Isaiah 9:10 Judgment” documentary, says the seventh harbinger is no more. A tree that was placed at the site of the 9/11 Muslim terror attack in New York City has died, has been removed, and destroyed. “Harbinger” author Jonathan Cahn says it’s because of his book that the tree will not be replaced. His work examines the nine harbingers, or warnings, recorded in the Bible that were delivered to Israel before the nation disintegrated. He contends God is giving the same nine warnings now to America to urge the nation to...

A quadrotor aircraft mated to a Microsoft Kinect sensor - the latest feature of the Microsoft Xbox360 video game platform - can hover around a University of California-Berkley lab, sense objects in its path, and then pause until the object is removed. The video also shows a simulated grid view through the Kinect sensor – looks straight out of a Terminator movie. [Watch the video ]

This morning, I watched a video of the CEO of Gold Fields, Mr. Nick Holland, expressing his surprise at Soro’s recent statement that gold is the “ultimate bubble”. Mr. Holland said that almost every other expert on markets he talked to had a vastly different opinion of the metal - that it was “fundamentally sound” etc. So, that being said, how does one explain the drop to a new low for this gold bear market, just moments ago? If fundamentals are so good, if the experts all agree that gold is a solid buy and say things like “you just...

The Obama administration has taken a look and after production of 187 aircraft, "the administration proposes to terminate the F-22 Raptor program," and close the Raptor production line. ~snip~ The OMB states that the 187 examples of the F-22 Raptor air superiority fighter, supported by the planned fleet growth of Joint Strike Fighters (JSF) to 2,443 aircraft, "will meet DOD's requirements to maintain air superiority." And, according to the OMB, the Department of Defense agrees. But while the F-22 has frequently been attacked for its expense it has rarely (if ever) been attacked for its demonstrated real-world abilities.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed that the agency is investigating NUTRO pet food, following a series of unexplained illnesses and deaths. Consumers have been complaining for more than two years that their pets have become ill after eating NUTRO products; many have recovered when they were switched to other foods. The company has steadfastly denied that its food is to blame.

In a new, year-long University of Pennsylvania survey of dog owners who use confrontational or aversive methods to train aggressive pets, veterinary researchers have found that most of these animals will continue to be aggressive unless training techniques are modified. The study, published in the current issue of Applied Animal Behavior Science, also showed that using non-aversive or neutral training methods such as additional exercise or rewards elicited very few aggressive responses. “This study highlights the risk of dominance-based training, which has been made popular by TV, books and punishment-based training advocates,”Herron said. “These techniques are fear-eliciting and may lead...

Flight Data Show Response to Loss of Speed Resulted in Deadly Stall That Downed Plane Investigators examining last week's Continental Connection plane crash have gathered evidence that pilot commands -- not a buildup of ice on the wings and tail -- likely initiated the fatal dive of the twin-engine Bombardier Q400 into a neighborhood six miles short of the Buffalo, N.Y., airport, according to people familiar with the situation. The commuter plane slowed to an unsafe speed as it approached the airport, causing an automatic stall warning, these people said. The pilot pulled back sharply on the plane's controls and...

Q400 Pitched Up 31 Degrees Before Crash The crew of the Bombardier Q400 that crashed in Buffalo on Thursday got a stall warning and the stick pusher engaged but still the aircraft pitched upward 31 degrees before turning almost 180 degrees and dropping onto a house in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence Center, near the outer marker for Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The sequence of events, which included a 45-degree dive with a 106-degree right bank ended 26 seconds later in the fireball on the ground, killing 49 people on the plane and one on the ground, the owner of...

In light of the coming Obamagarchy and the mistaken belief that ours is a democracy, this roughly 10 minute video is educational and should be of interest. The American Form of Government

I am an attorney and professor of law and entrepreneurship, so I usually confine my commentary to matters of public policy, and leave theology to those who have chosen that field of study. But since today is Sunday, I will take the liberty of making an observation with a more Biblical bent. As one who has taught entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking for nearly ten years, I am distressed by the apparently overwhelming sentiment sweeping Americans that they must now be taken care of. I know from years of studying the matter that a society in which most members are –...

With Barely a Sound, Electric Dragsters Aim for Gas-Powered Records PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Straddling a 619-pound motorcycle, Scotty Pollacheck tucks in his knees and lowers his head as he waits for the green light. When he revs the engine, there's no roar. The bike moves so fast that within seconds all that's visible is a faint red taillight melting in the distance. Pollacheck crosses the quarter-mile marker doing 156 mph; he's traveled 1,320 feet in 8.22 seconds, faster than any of the gas-powered cars, trucks or motorcycles that have raced in the drag sprints on this weekend at Portland...

Boy mauled by pit bulls STEVE LYTTLE slyttle@charlotteobserver.com Police say the boy who was attacked by pit bull dogs Thursday night in northeast Charlotte was seriously hurt but did not suffer life-threatening wounds. The boy, who police say was 7 years olds, was playing with his brother about 7 p.m. in a neighbor's yard on Eastway Drive. The two boys told police that the dogs escaped from a fenced-in yard, climbing through a hole in the fence. Witnesses say two of the dogs attacked the boys. A man passing by jumped into the pack of dogs and chased them away...

A View from the Eye of the Storm Talk delivered by Haim Harari As you know, I usually provide the scientific and technological "entertainment" in our meetings, but, on this occasion, our Chairman suggested that I present my own personal view on events in the part of the world from which I come. I have never been and I will never be a Government official and I have no privileged information. My perspective is entirely based on what I see, on what I read and on the fact that my family has lived in this region for almost 200 years....
