BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed four terrorists and destroyed two buildings along with nearby cache sites containing improvised explosive device equipment during a raid Friday morning in Thar Thar. Yesterday (09/05/2006) CNN's "Candy Crowley" of the "Situation Room" reported the following: "CROWLEY: Ah, yes. Begin with this. The latest numbers from CNN and Opinion Research Corporation. An unpopular president, an unpopular war and $3 a gallon gas is a trifecta." And again today (09/06/2006; transcript unavailabe as of yet) - the same Candy Crowley reported the following live on the "Situation Room" (paraphrased) "...the Rebublican voters are currently frightened by the skyrocketing gasoline prices...". Um,....HELLO????????

John Kerry's web site indicates: "September 24, 20004 - Secretary Rumsfeld told Congress, and I quote: “Let’s pretend, hypothetically, that you get to election time in January and let’s pretend that it’s roughly like it is, or a little worse, which it could be, because you’ve got to expect it to continue…" My question is - where is this Congressional transcript which Kerry says Rumsfeld "told Congress" and made this alleged statement ? If Rumsfeld TOLD CONGRESS this, there must be a record. Thanks...

I keep getting hit with this alleged Rumsfeld quote about "pretending" that I can't verify anywhere.
