September 11 - US Government accused A Portugal-based investigative journalist has presented THE NEWS with version of the September 11th attacks that has to date failed to attract the attention of the international press. The report, compiled by an independent inquiry into the September 11th, World Trade Centre attack, warns the American public that the government’s official version of events does not stand up to scrutiny. A group of military and civilian US pilots, under the chairmanship of Colonel Donn de Grand, after deliberating non-stop for 72 hours, has concluded that the flight crews of the four passenger airliners, involved...

Don’t Buy it: Point Spread is Not a Viable Excuse for Resigning This Early in the Political Game Someone Got to Harris By Malia Zimmerman, 5/31/2002 6:57:48 AM Gov. Benjamin Cayetano reportedly was 35-points behind opponent Linda Lingle in political polls, even up through the final weeks of the 1998 gubernatorial campaign -– a race he ultimately won by around 1.5 percent of the vote. Former Gov. John Waihee also trailed far behind his Democratic primary opponent Cec Heftel in the 1986 gubernatorial election. Heftel lost a great majority of his support in the final days of the campaign because...

It is rather strange that the US media, with one notable exception, seems to be ignoring what may well prove to be the most explosive story since the 11 September attacks - the alleged break-up of a major Israeli espionage operation in the United States which aimed to infiltrate both the justice and defence departments and which may also have been tracking Al-Qaeda terrorists before the aircraft hijackings took place. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been quick to dismiss a 4 March report by Intelligence Online, a French web site that specialises in security matters (and expanded on...

Today the United Nations convenes a major conference in Monterrey, Mexico, on the need to sharply increase foreign aid. President Bush will be heavily pressured to go along when he addresses the conference Friday.

The plight of the developing world cannot be exaggerated. Poverty, disease, unemployment and a general sense of hopelessness affect most of the world's population. It is impossible not to be moved by their condition and want to help.

Free Press, Free People By Malia Zimmerman, 2/11/2002 4:17:16 AM "A free press is the unsleeping guardian of every other right that free men prize. It is the most dangerous foe of tyranny." Winston Churchill, 1940. Hawaii Reporter Inc. was founded in July 2001 to fight for and protect First Amendment rights and the Freedom to Report the Real News in the state of Hawaii. Journalists in Hawaii are too often stopped from researching and publishing controversial or investigative stories about corruption or incompetence in state and local government, public education, the business community and by local government and political ...

Sagebrush: America Foreclosed By Wayne Hage - Stewards of the Range 11.29.01 Chairman Don Young (R-AK) of the House Resource Committee, with considerable help from left wing extremist George Miller (D-CA) and his cadre of environmentalists, were recently successful in the passage of the Conservation and Reinvestment Act (CARA), HR 701. Senator Murkowski (R-AK), is preparing to secure passage of the same legislation in the Senate as S 25. CARA would provide money for the purchase of private property by federal, state, local governments, Indian tribes and environmental groups. 2.4 billion dollars per year would be made available from offshore ...

Federalized Land Use Control: The Bush Administration’s HUD/APA Legislative Guidebook On November 22, 2001, HUD is set to approve a "Legislative Guidebook," a comprehensive blueprint of model statutes and planning guidelines to govern land use planning at the state and local levels, at the expense of local control and constitutionally protected property rights. This radical "Smart Growth" project is the brainchild of Clinton activists, who found fertile soil for their anti-growth agenda at HUD. Jointly drafted by HUD and the American Planning Association, the Guidebook runs counter to the free-market, pro-business and pro-property rights principles of the Bush administration. The ...

Monday April 9, 2001; 4:48 p.m. EDT Hackworth: Chicoms Fired Machine Gun at U.S. Plane U.S. Navy sources privately confide that the Chinese air force scrambled additional planes and fired upon a U.S. reconnaissance aircraft during a mid-air engagement last Sunday, forcing it to land in Chinese territory, according to military analyst David Hackworth. One went down in flames, as we know, with (Chinese pilot) Wang Wei. The other turned and two more aircraft ...

The silence is deafening. Nobody wants to touch this crisis. Where are you RUSH? Our military are being held as pawns in a Chinese ploy to get concessions and apologies to humble us, while our President and government look impotent. The treatment of our servicemen by the Chinese and our own government by its own meekness is appalling! If anything was needed to point out the fallacy of our China policy, our sellouts to the Buthcers of Beijing, and to global governance, it is this incident. We have lost our heritage, our soul as a nation. Stock market considerations trump ...

Best Picture Winner "Gladiator" is a triumph for conservatives in a medium dominated by liberal historical revisionism. It is a worthy successor to such anti-Hollywood establishment flicks such as "Braveheart" and "The Patriot", to name but two of just a handful. Just as in the case of "The Patriot", the press have largely savaged the film as merely historically inaccurate bloodlust, in an attempt to minimize the movie to the scale of somekind of cultural significance of Conan The Barbarian meets the World Wrestling Federation. The movie is actually quite lengthy, but if you put all the battle sequences end ...

I Just saw the new Time Warner/Wesley Snipes flick "The Art Of War". The film casts the UN in the role of the world's last best hope for peace. Wesley Snipes plays a deep cover spy working on UN's behalf, who is framed by a right-wing conspiracy behind an effort to destroy a free trade pact that would open up China and supposedly democratize it and bring peace. The right-wing faction is revealed to be the force that has ruled America for decades, is upset that China has been "screwing America from the inside" for 20 years, and seeks to ...

Mr. McCain goes to Bilderberg and comes back a Contender. John McCain is the REAL INSIDER in the GOP campaign and its time to set this onslaught of pro-McCain/anti-establishment barrage straight. McCain is a much worse alternative to Bush. Here's why: Bush, although flawed on many issues, is philosophically conservative (trust people not the government, the money belongs to people not the govt, etc.) He believes there is a role for govt to play, but not a central one. McCain believes govt should decide who has enough money and redistribute it. He believes in big govt approaches: tobacco, campaign finance. ...

Steve Forbes on 6/24/99 "It's important for people to know that in his 1994 campaign, Mr. Bush took a pledge not to raise taxes. Then, in 1997, Governor Bush broke his pledge by proposing 75 tax increases. In this campaign, Governor Bush first said he would not sign the no-new-taxes pledge. Then, just a day later, he flip-flopped and signed a letter containing a no-new-taxes pledge. But he refuses to offer a tax plan of his own, and his aides seem to be dismissing the idea of bold, dramatic tax reforms." "I made this point on Sunday on the CBS ...
