Perhaps “disrespected them”, or “was brutally honest with them”, would describe it better. It’s not a big deal either way, but I think “mocking them” conveys something different in most people’s minds, than what actually occurred.
I think "was brutally honest with them" describes it best. I don't think President Trump went to speak at the Libertarian Convention to disrespect them, on the contrary, speaking at their convention was a show of respect.
And the idea that he was "mocking" them is absurd. He went there to win them over and made a very good attempt at it.
So he was telling the truth. If that equates to “making fun” in Rugg’s mind then maybe he should be a member of the Snowflake Party (aka the Democrats) rather than the Libertarian Party.
Well, you could NOT be lazy and look him up, yourself.
Well you could NOT be so nasty about it. I was busy watching the speech and at the same time monitoring this thread on FR so I didn't feel like looking him up at the time.
Anyway, he mischaracterized what President Trump said. President Trump was NOT "making fun" of the Libertarians. That would be disrespectful, which he was NOT. He simply respectfully stated the fact they they could choose to support him and help defeat Biden or they could get their three percent by supporting some other Libertarian candidate.
We NEED someone on the ticket to pick up the reins AFTER Trump , that is the MOST important thing!! This country NEEDS at least 12 years to fix the damage done!! Gabbard is NOT that person, HALEY is NOT that person, Tim Scott is NOT that person NO RINOS, PERIOD!!!
Russia and Germany started WW2 and when they turned on each other we should have let them slug it out.
I agree. While it's true that Hitler declared war on us first, some good diplomacy beforehand could have allowed us to stay neutral.
We had to fight Japan because of Pearl Harbor, but who knows if that could have been avoided with prior diplomacy as well.
The US should have spent the war years building up it's military to defend against any aggression in North America, South America, and the Caribbean. Let Europe and Asia settle their own disputes.
Romans 13:4 states that the government does not bear the sword in vain but is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.
We have to make sure the government does it’s job.
