I've just watched the Denver Broncos defeat the Minnesota Vikings, 35-32. Tebow was awful in the first half, passing for just 13 yards. He was quite good in the second half, finishing 10-of-15 for the game and completing three passes of more than 20 yards, a minor achievement he hadn't accomplished all year. The Broncos won by intercepting a pass in the final minute and kicking an easy field goal, so it would be misleading and reactionary and inaccurate to say that Tebow won them the game. But Tebow won them the game.

Ben Stein was on with Laura Ingraham, who was filling in for BOR. He was on there advocating massive tax increases on the wealthy. He claimed that the greatest economic growth in our nation's history occurred when taxes on the wealthy were highest. I always thought he was a smart guy, but I guess I was wrong. Did he sleep through the 80s?

Declaration of Independence. "America the Beautiful." Bad anthem. Bad commercials. Weird night. I admit to having watched it wrong. No one is supposed to pay 100 percent attention to the Super Bowl. You're not meant to stare at it. You're not meant to derive meaning from it.

I am constantly amazed at the way conservatives- the ones who genuinely want to reduce the size of government-so consistently reject the one proven method of achieving their goal. Here's National Review's John Hood:

I've never done a vanity before, but did anybody see Marc Lamont Hill on O'Reilly tonight? He was on for at least 5 minutes claiming he had evidence that the Tea Party was racist. He cited a survey conducted by some commie prof and according to Hill this is conclusive proof that the movement is heavily racist. Fortunately, O'Reilly took the side of the Tea Partiers.

Republican John Kasich continues to hold a modest lead over incumbent Democrat Ted Strickland in the Ohio gubernatorial race.

Republican Rob Portman now earns his highest level of support to date against Democrat Lee Fisher in the U.S. Senate race in Ohio.
