Monday November 12 1:47 PM ET Imagined Workout Can Up Muscle Strength: Study By Joene Hendry NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - People can strengthen their muscles by imagining that they are exercising them, according to study findings presented Sunday at the Society for Neuroscience's annual meeting in San Diego, California. ``Just thinking about exercise can help maintain muscle strength,'' Dr. Vinoth Ranganathan of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio told Reuters Health. When FreeRepublic succeeds, twill be cause of many good deedsby those who love libertyto save it for their posterity. by BadJoe We're almost done with our Freepathon. At last count, we have less than $8,000 left until we reach our goal, $65,000. Why should you donate? Free Republic is now your primary news source. Our local papers are, generally speaking, leftist rags. Our televsions, perhaps excepting those lucky enough to get FOX News, have been taken over by liberal conquistadors. What's to watch? Suspender boy? Oprah? The Devil (AKA Geraldo)? Basically, that leaves talk radio and FR. What a perfect match! ...

As you may know, yesterday was Flag Day. It was a day for all citizens of this nation to stop and pay respect to the universal symbol of Freedom, Liberty, and Independence known by all from the cold bitterness of Siberia to the vast African Jungle -- the Great Flag of the United States of America. One day from the year is just not enough to pay tribute to the gifts of our Founding Fathers. So, in my powers as a citizen of the United States of America, I do hereby declare that every single day from here on ...

President Bush had scored big laughs at a nationally televised dinner in April by showing a naked photo of brother Jeb as a toddler. On Monday, at a rally with his older brother, Jeb Bush, the Florida governor, said Floridians don't go in for such pranks. ``We don't deal in retribution because people think it's too cheeky,'' Jeb Bush said. Hey there, fellow FReepers. For some reason or another, I'm in the mood for a few laughs, on the Clintons' expense. So, therefore, I have created this thread for all the FReepers to post any Clinton jokes they may have and particularly liked. I'm hoping to create a big archive that I can bookmark and refer to whenever I (or any other FReepers) need a chuckle. Y'all know the procedure. Post Away!

Dear Fellow Freepers, We all know that the Government is full of waste, redundant agencies, and just plain useless agencies. For that reason, I would like to send my Congressman a list of what I think are useless government programs, and try to compel him to introduce a bill to eliminate them. However, I can't make a very impressive list on my own. I would like to ask you to help me out here and think up some useless government agencies. Also, when you list an agency, please give a couple of words on why ...
