thehill.com Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has decided to take “the gloves off” to encourage others to see President Trump's the way she does, the House Democrat said in a New York Times profile published on Friday. “Trump was just so outrageous, so disrespectful, such a bully and dangerous for this country, I decided, ‘You know what? I’m taking the gloves off and I’m going to step out,’” Waters told the Times, explaining her bombastic rhetoric toward the president. She has called for his impeachment.

I was perusing the Opensecrets for 2016 Presidential contributions, and I have a couple of questions: First, why would a company called Renaissance Technologies give Hillary $14 million and also give Trump $15 million? Is it a cover their butts thing? Do they think they'll get access in return? Second, Why would the US Department of Agriculture and the US Postal service be contributing to Jill Stein????? Hope these aren't stupid questions. I'm not real familiar with campaign finance.

My husband and I own a plumbing company. My husband's name happens to be Art, but when I heard what Obama was saying to Joe, he was saying it to us. We consistently make between $250K-300K per year and I have recently had to take on a second job to make ends meet. We have two plumbers on the payroll and I do the books. I quit taking a paycheck from the company because we have to keep our expenses down. We are among the smallest of small businesses, and any additional tax burden on us would be devastating. We...

"I oppose the bailout proposal by the Treasury," Senator Roberts said. "Americans face an economy in crisis and it’s important Congress act responsibly to shore up America’s confidence in the financial system. Unfortunately, the Treasury proposal is flawed. It does not protect taxpayers, contains no meaningful oversight, may not solve the crisis and is seen by most Americans as rewarding greed..... http://roberts.senate.gov

The Geminid meteor shower peaks tonight and should be great. Gemini (where the meteor shower radiates from) rises in the east at about 8:00 local time (U.S.) and the number of meteors visible should increase as Gemini rises in the sky. The moon shouldn't interfere too severely because it doesn't rise until after 1:30 and it's not even close to being full. Those of you in northern states can keep an eye out for auroras as well. So get some hot coffee, get as far away from city lights as you can, and look east beginning at about 9:00. I'll...

I'm listening to Colme's radio show and he said he's been rethinking many of his positions. A couple of liberal callers weren't real happy. Is he being Hannitized?

As Cass Sunstein, a professor of law at the University of Chicago, saw himself being skewered on various Web sites discussing his recent book, Republic.com, he had the odd satisfaction of watching some of the book's themes materialize. On the conservative Web site FreeRepublic.com, the discussion began by referring relatively mildly to Sunstein's book about the political consequences of the Internet as "thinly veiled liberal." Sorry about the vanity, but there is something going on here that doesn't happen every day. I live in Kansas, in the "country", but still only 20 miles south of a large city. You can see the Northern Lights just as clear as can be. From the north they rise up green and turn red directly overhead. The only time I've seen them better was in the Canadian wilderness. In some places, you may mistake the Aurora for light cloud cover. Watch for the colors. How far south will we be able to see them do you think? Take a ...

The discression of Sec. of State, Katherine Harris is still intact. According to the Supreme Court: The Secretary may ignore such returns only if their inclusion will compromise the integrity of the electoral process in either of two ways: (1) by precluding a candidate, elector, or taxpayer from contesting the certification of election pursuant to section 102.168; or (2)........... #1 is paramount. According to Florida law (per FoxNews), a candidate must be left 22-27 days to contest the election. That deadline passed on Monday. Could this mean they are still counting in vain? Your opinion?

Sheez people. Settle down. Remember, any county that is not certified by Tuesday @ 5 p.m. their votes will be thrown out! And it is impossible to finish a hand count by Tuesday of PBC. Quotes from only one of several articles that have reported this: "The statute is very clear that if a county's results are not to us by 5 p.m. Tuesday we shall ignore that county's vote, and the counties need to be very aware of that," Crawford told reporters. "Candidates asking for recounts need to be aware of that." Bob Crawford, who replaced Gov. Jeb Bush ...

Judge Olen Underwood ruled that roughly 9,000 residents of the Escapee RV Club can claim the location as their home even though they travel much of the year and list a post-office box operated by the park as their addresses on voter-registration cards. The ruling followed challenges filed to the recreational-vehicle club ...
