From the city that never sleeps. I know the neighborhood from the late 50’s. I wonder how many of the current homeowners on the 2 blocks have bars on the windows and 4 locks on their entrance doors? I lived in a peaceful neighborhood of Brooklyn, and now I see homes that look like they are self imposed prisons with bars and gates. The 50’s had kick ass cops, with patrol cars and call boxes. Whaaa happened NYC?

How many soldier aged men have sought refuge in Canada by now? I feel that many of the Ukrainians feel that its not their war. It sure as hell isn’t ours.

I was there when the Verrazano was built. Passenger cars paid 25 cents to cross it,and we had 15 cent subway tokens. 65 years of great Democrat budgeting? $15B? How much will actually be spent on the Subway, when done. Will Grand Central look like Moscow train station or even the North Korean one? Yes we make a lot more now, and why do our salaries keep go up, but we still can’t afford to buy things. A new car? (3x the cost of my first 3BR home?) USA doesn’t owe NYC anything. At the rate that Europe is going, Putin may have to liberate it. LOL, Russia has a huge problem, its called 12 time zones and potential problem neighbors surrounding it. Russia is like a huge Israel.
