If this guy was elected, how could he qualify for a security clearance to view classified documents or testimony that would be necessary as a member of congress?
The article on espn.com today said the officer followed him for 30 miles, and then shot him when he reached into his pocket. If he thought he was drunk, why didn't he pull him over but instead follow this guy for 30 miles? I had no idea that off duty officers were able to do such a thing. It could be an unsafe situation for all parties involved.
May increase their cost of capital a bit, but don't look for any catastrophic effects unless some drop below investment grade, triggering mandatory sell offs for certain institutional investors.
Yea, this is a little different then buying a security on etrade or something similar. Customers who wanted to participate in the IPO would have to set up a special account with one of the investment banks offering the IPO, and then commit to purchasing shares at the date of the IPO for whatever it opened at (at any price within a specified range). After the stock begins trading, everyone sees what the opening price was and the people who committed to purchasing shares must send in a check within a certain number of days (usually just a couple days).
Vonage can actually sue to force performance on the customers' part. The article in the paper suggested that the company "must quickly treat the IPO offer as if a product has been recalled." I thought that was pretty funny.
Ladies and gentlemen: our stock is a defective product and we are recalling all the shares sold to customers at a $5 premium.
Is this being carried out by the same people that Wesley Clark set free in the war over there?
Hopefully Fr. Roderick & Co. can hang in there and keep preaching the Good News. But if this is going to become a Muslim state, they may send him packing brfore too long.
Is this the same guy shown in the famous picture being helped out of a building by two of his buddies, all bloodied, but still honding his finger across the trigger assemply of his M9?
