If you ever owned a boat, just think of all of those expenses and magnify them. Heck, the crew can be pretty expensive. A few years ago, I read an industry publication that noted that the going annual pay for a yacht captain was about $1,000 per foot of the ship’s length. So, the captain of this yacht is earning nearly a half million bucks per year. Then, add the costs of the rest of the crew.
