MEL GIBSON PROCLAIMS HIS LOVE FOR JEWS HOLLYWOOD -- Mel Gibson has issued a statement explaining his anti-Semitic outburst to police after he was arrested for drunk driving. Gibson is reported to have screamed that "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world" and demanded to know whether the arresting officer was Jewish. In his statement, Gibson said the remark to police about Jews starting wars was merely an admiring reference to price wars initiated by Jewish merchants.
