"Thank you Israel," is the sentiment echoing from around the world from the millions of Christian Lebanese, driven out of our homeland. The Lebanese Foundation for Peace, an international group of Lebanese Christians, made the following statement in a press release to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert concerning the latest Israeli attacks against Hezbollah:
"We urge you to hit them hard and destroy their terror infrastructure. It is not [only] Israel who is fed up with this situation, but the majority of the silent Lebanese in Lebanon who are fed up with Hezbollah and are powerless to do anything out of fear of terror retaliation....."

Hard to believe that Lebanon once was known as the Paris of the Middle East, and that Christians were once the majority in Lebanon.
Things are definitely changing in that part of the world, but not necessarily for the better.

I can just see the CNN reporters asking Lebanese people for an interview and disregarding all the one's who support the ending of the Hizbulloh.

Why are they powerless? Fear? What have they got now? Either Israel will kill them as Hezbollah holds them as human shields, or Hezbollah will kill them if they won't be their human shields. If they didn't have the guts to take care of Hezbollah on their own, I won't feel sorry for them when someone else has to take out the garbage.

Really now, and what would you have done if you were in their place?

There was also a big Jewish Community in Lebanon. I had two brilliant bosses (Engineers)who were Lebanese Jews whose families fled to France.

Really now, and what would you have done if you were in their place? Why did they not disarm Hezballah according to a UN directive? The UN peacekeepers have done nothing to enforce it. If you don't want terrorists importing thousands of missiles from Syria, why aren't you at the borders checking every convoy that comes thru? I'm not concerned at all over those that will bend over forwards for a terrorist. Let them take it in the rear. I stand with Israel.

This goes back to the UN and the west standing by or hampering the Christians while the Muslims decimated them in the civil war.
The parallels to our little Balkan adventure are scary.

Why did they not disarm Hezballah according to a UN directive?I think that is like asking you why you aren't stopping illegals from crossing our southern border? Hmmm? Well? Why aren't YOU doing it?

Hard to believe that Lebanon once was known as the Paris of the Middle East, and that Christians were once the majority in Lebanon. It's the same fate the Jihadies have for all the Western nations. Except that there would be no place for us to go, so we would have to convert, or die.
I plan to do neither, nor do I plan for my daughters, or their children to do either. I'll kill the jihadies first, and I'll equip my sons-in-law, and daughters, to do the same if need be.

If you don't want terrorists importing thousands of missiles from Syria, why aren't you at the borders checking every convoy that comes thru? The control of those border crossings does not rest with the Lebanese government or Army, it rests with Hezbollah. The Bekaa valley extends across the border and that's where Hezbollah's infestation is concentrated. The Syrians controlled it for years, but when they left, they made sure their puppets Hezbollah were firmly in charge.

Yep, I'm sure you'll see this story on CNN or in the New York Times.
