Why are they powerless? Fear? What have they got now? Either Israel will kill them as Hezbollah holds them as human shields, or Hezbollah will kill them if they won't be their human shields. If they didn't have the guts to take care of Hezbollah on their own, I won't feel sorry for them when someone else has to take out the garbage.

That's pretty easy to say when you live in the US. I'll cut them a little slack, since I haven't lived under fear of death because I said the wrong thing.

A large number of the Christian militia was killed during the civil war. When Syria came in, it was almost impossible for them to drive them out. I consider it a miracle that they stood up last year and forced the Syrians out.

I wouldn't even begin to know how to get an entrenched, heavily armed terrorist group out of an area. As we can see on the news, even with fighter planes, bombs, and artillery, Israel is having a tough time gettting them to leave.
