"Thank you Israel," is the sentiment echoing from around the world from the millions of Christian Lebanese, driven out of our homeland. The Lebanese Foundation for Peace, an international group of Lebanese Christians, made the following statement in a press release to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert concerning the latest Israeli attacks against Hezbollah:

"We urge you to hit them hard and destroy their terror infrastructure. It is not [only] Israel who is fed up with this situation, but the majority of the silent Lebanese in Lebanon who are fed up with Hezbollah and are powerless to do anything out of fear of terror retaliation....."

Lebanon was once the banking capital of the Near East and then the barbarian invaded .....Arafat and his PLO butchers. Arafat , Syria and their Iranian backed Shi'ite gangs destroyed a beautiful nation.

According to Fr Nassif, approximately 300 Christian villages were destroyed between 1983 and 1985, during the war in Lebanon. In his diocese of Saida, Fr. Nassif said, 50 parishes were demolished.

I always thought the Arab Christians still in the ME suffered from a sort of Stockholm syndrome.

Arab Christians were there first so it's not as if they were the hostages, it is their home, where should they go? The radical Muslims are just a barbaric, evil virus that oozed through the ME.

A large number of the Christian militia was killed during the civil war. When Syria came in, it was almost impossible for them to drive them out. I consider it a miracle that they stood up last year and forced the Syrians out.

I wouldn't even begin to know how to get an entrenched, heavily armed terrorist group out of an area. As we can see on the news, even with fighter planes, bombs, and artillery, Israel is having a tough time gettting them to leave.

I meant to include this in my last post to you. I think you got lost in the minutia of the analogy and missed the bigger point. If you look at America we are pretty much bending over forwards for a terrorist by not stopping them at our borders. Thus the actions you so greatly judge the innocents in Lebanon for we ourselves are just as guilty of.

I think you need to take it to a immigration thread rather then this one. You are comparing apples to oranges here. I see Lebanon has sided with Hezbollah when they say they will attack Israel if it puts troops in on the ground in Lebanon. The same goverment that says they are too weak to resist Syrian involvement in their territory, but will make an announcement that they will fight Israel is as bogas a two dollar bill.
